  1. I also was blown away by Up in the Air, and We Will Rock You and Mama Mia are my other two favorites.
  2. The Cointreau added just a slight orange note to the drink, but I think orange and chocolate pair well, anyway. My introduction to chocolate martinis years ago was with no Baileys. One of the best I've had was made with chocolate vodka. By the way, Royel's is made with vanilla vodka, not house vodka.
  3. The turnaround process is dependent on the ship being cleared, so it can be quick, or if there are stragglers from the previous cruise, it can be slow. Depending on the terminal, you may have seating while you wait for Customs to clear the ship, or you may have to stand. Almost all of my b2b's have had seating. I always have something to read for turnaround morning, since you can sit in the gathering lounge for a while, and then again in the terminal. The gathering lounge will have self-serve coffee, juice, water, and pastries for everyone. Just follow the directions on the information sheet delivered to your cabin, and you'll be fine. If you cannot navigate stairs well, tell the crew staff, and you can go with the "elevator" group. You all end up in the same place at about the same time, anyway.
  4. I just got off the Anthem, and the bar waiter in the Concierge Lounge modified a chocolate martini for me. I have problems ingesting the "cream" alcohols. He gave me the recipe at the end of the cruise. I call it Royel's (yes, that's his name) Chocolate Martini: 1.5 oz vanilla vodka .5 oz Creme de Cacao .5 oz Cointreau small amount of Amaretto Line inside the martini glass with chocolate syrup (I prefer small amount) Shake well and pour into martini glass
  5. I was on the Liberty last November and loved the ship. No complaints. I was on the Vision for 21 days last month (January), and I will not sail on the Vision again. The ship, and my cabin, has maintenance issues. The joke around the ship was the two inside elevators that you must take to get up to Deck 11 are scary. They indicate going up, then go down, and vice-versa. You get on and empty elevator and it won't register the floor you want, and goes to some other floor. The elevator doors are almost impossible to re-open if they are closing. It's like those elevators have their own agenda. The food was meh, in my opinion. And the over-crowding in the Crown Lounge was outrageous, while the Concierge Lounge was near empty almost all the time.
  6. I tell them at the podium when I check in. Since I have the Unlimited Dining Pkg in these situations, I've never had a problem. They want me to come back again! I would suggest getting all your pre-cruise ressies straightened out the first day. They take care of it by the time I finish my meal. I've read posts about passengers having issues, but not recently, and I never had a problem.
  7. I just got back from b2b's on two ships. My inflatable mattress pad absolutely made sleeping VERY comfy. Coming home I just deflated and folded it flat to fit the bottom of my suitcase. The rolled up bag took up too much suitcase real estate with its dimensions.
  8. The bar staff in the Lounges for upper levels of C&A members are happy to get ANY tips. Many, many passengers don't tip at all for their drinks, because they are "free". I have cruising friends that didn't use to tip, either, until they silently watched as I tipped for every single one of my free drinks. They got the message.
  9. You are correct, and apologies for the incorrect information. I wear my seapass on a slip-in lanyard, and my memory was it was not IN the machine. I forgot that it's a tap registration for your seapass account. Don't know if this has been passed along, but if one is planning on cashing out all obc (non-refundable and refundable), wait until the second day if your TA's refunds are credited then. Mine are, so I want all the obc showing a negative balance in my onboard account. Then, I play my free money and cash out all my obc by transferring it as a room charge. BUT, IF YOU DO THIS OBC CASH-OUT, YOU ARE BLOCKED FROM DOING ANY FURTHER MONEY TRANSFERS TO YOUR ONBOARD ACOUNT FOR THE REST OF THE CRUISE. New money in the machine is fine, but no room charges. This has been true on both the Vision and the Anthem since the beginning of January 2024.
  10. Provolone, swiss, cheddar, fig compote, celery, small slices of dark rye bread, grapes
  11. One entree was inedible, one was delicious but the beef was chewy, and I'm not much of a beef eater. If I had pulled the beef apart it would have been fine. So, I very happily ate veggies and gravy! Now on Day 7 and dinner has been very good since "chewy beef day". Love the increase in salmon entrees. We also have 3 of the cheese/fruit plates brought dailyto our table of seven for nibbles between courses.
  12. I am back on the Vision and very happy to report that most of what I've had to eat so far (day 4 now) has been very good. A few exceptions: one entree I politely sent back (very dry chicken replaced with fantastic eggplant entree), and I set aside the beef in my bourguignon, but the veggies and gravy were great!
  13. You are welcome! Yes, it sounds like the same one. Great for long tender lines.
  14. I'm on the Vision now, and I'm guessing the casino system they are using may not be the same as the Anthem. I had to use my card. However, when going into my account on the slot machine I had to change my PIN from my month/day of my birthdate to some other 4-digit number. But, I also had to do that on the Anthem. I am on the Anthem on 1/29, so I'll post back then.
  15. Keep an eye on this thread: Casino cash-out without using seapass card Go to the end of it, because on 1/6-1/7 I will be posting about how to charge to your room in the casino without using your seapass card. You do NOT have to insert your card if you're only getting the cash out and not gambling.
  16. Yes, well, I enjoy eating there when the ship is in WARM climates......................
  17. We bought my husband a tri-fold camping stool with a carrying sleeve for him that he or I wore over the shoulder. Weighs about 1 lb, maybe less. He would take it off the ship in port, too. Those lines for the tenders were awful on his back. Always could sit down no matter where he was in the world.
  18. My bad: I'm thinking of the Anthem. I get the two ships mixed up.
  19. I'm going to skip to an immediate post on this: If I want a second entree, I ask for it "appetizer sized" and on the same plate with my first one. Then you get what you want at the same time. (Sorry if this is a duplicate)
  20. I forgot to mention the outside eating verandah in the very back of the 'Jammer. One of my favorite places to eat.
  21. It's not well advertised, and almost anyone I talk to don't know about the trolley. Oh, and if it rains, or looks like it's going to rain, the trolley goes directly to the trolley "home" near the dock and you have to get off. It's an electric tram, sooooo......................
  22. Yes, I found the more expanded Windjammer food stations to be better on the Odyssey and the Anthem.
  23. I was on b2b cruises several times between mid-November and mid-December 2023, and we did not receive our new seapass cards until after we were cleared by immigration, and started back to the ship again. Then, we had our choice of coming back on the ship or leaving.
  24. My experience with the b2b process is when you get to the meeting place on the ship and check-in for the next cruise, you ask the crew member to give you an "in transit" card with your new seapass card. I don't think it's necessary to go to Guest Services for it.
