  1. I just booked again on Princess, now a solo. I am on the Discovery Princess and the cabin pics from cruisedeckplans.com are looking good for an inside. I booked the standard fare and was pleasantly surprised that it included a $100 obc, and another $100 for shore excursions. Since I have a 4:50pm flight home, it was nice to be able book a shore excursion with airport drop-off at no charge to me. I'm also catching up on the Platinum benefits. What is a Platinum and Elite lounge? Is this like RCCL where the lounge is accessible only to Plats and Elites, or is a reference to the Happy Hour? How is that Happy Hour going now? Drink prices? Thanks for any information for this little wandering lamb...........................
  2. I don't know about the cost, but I can tell you the length of time for me. It took 49 years, but the Double Points Promo took me finally to 702 points.
  3. My personal experience is Downy Wrinkle Release can stain solid colored, "silk-like" fabrics. I have used the following technique for years to remove wrinkles from clothing: I take an empty spray bottle in my suitcase where it's easy to find when I open up to unpack Fill it with warm water Lay the garment flat on the bed, spray one side and smooth the wrinkles out with my hands, turn over, and repeat on other side. Hang garment in the closet By the time you hang up all your clothes there is a very slight damp atmosphere in the closet, and the clothes dry wrinkle-free. As I wear them, I may have to spritz a little extra on certain fabrics.
  4. I'm also on the 2/4/23 cruise. Our next stop after leaving the Bahamas is back to Cape Liberty, so I expect we will do the usual Immigration process when we debark.
  5. My son and family live in Ann Arbor. In early Spring if the weather gets over 40 degrees, the shorts and flip-flops come out. They are soooooo sick of cold weather by then.
  6. The one thing you can do to see about an earlier flight than 3pm, is look at FLL flights. SAS Transportation runs a shuttle from the Miami Port to the FLL airport for $15 per person. I took it last April.
  7. So sorry to hear you had COVID. I know the protocols you and I follow mostly work. I had COVID in Jan/Feb 2020, before they even had testing for it. I only found out because I asked for an antigen test with the annual blood tests about 3 months ago. Having been infected with the virus adds another boost to one's immunities. Just keep on, keeping on...................
  8. No obvious COVID protocols anymore. I've cruised multiple times since January, and the protocols have eased over that period of time. I stick to my own protocol, and several of the people I cruise with do, too. We don't get on crowded elevators, and if we are on and it gets crowded, we get off. I wear a mask on elevators, the theater, and in the Windjammer except when I'm eating. I also use my own and the ship's hand sanitizer frequently. You're basically on your own for health protocols. I'm on day 8 of a 9 night cruise, and I tested myself today. Negative results, so no infection from airports, restaurants, hotel, shuttle, and ship.
  9. I disagree. Boarding in San Pedro in May, I accompanied my suite friends to their line, and my D+ friends accompanied me in the Pinnacle line in Baltimore last week. Both times we told the staff member that we were traveling as a group and wanted to board together. The highest level person asked. I was told if it's no more than 3 extra people it's not a problem. Also, if they are family members there should be no problem. I was specific that we were traveling together, but in different cabins. There was no awkwardness with the staff: ask a question, get an answer. Go into the line. We all went at the time the highest level person was assigned.
