  1. The travel agent at the time of booking are the conduit to get notification of the FCC and it's ID number. Call the travel agency, tell them you need that information for your records, that you are still looking and not ready to book again yet. Thank you, goodbye, and call RCCL to book after you get the FCC number. RCCL will see the whole booking history when they look up the FCC.
  2. The virtual balcony cabin I had on the Navi had a nice big chair with a small ottoman next to the virtual outside view. It was nice for reading.
  3. I was stranded in Barcelona once. I needed my passport to check quickly into a hotel for my sick husband, get a quick flight out of Spain, and for countless other things while trying to get home. Europe today is not Europe of 30 years ago, or 15 years ago. One never knows when some policy, rule, or law may have changed and your passport is needed. I keep my passport with me at all times off the ship. I wear it in neck wallet with a titanium cord, and under my clothes. (And, don't even think about taking a picture of your passport nowadays, or showing a picture of it from your phone.)
  4. There IS a free trolley in Aruba. I spent a half day on it in 2020. I believe they stopped during COVID, and hadn't restarted again when I was there this past March. So, I'm very happy to hear it's running again. Very nice experience, the trolleys are really great: ours was all wood, shiny brass, and red. It had a spiral staircase going up to the top deck. The route is nice, too, and I love the street with all the palm trees. When getting off the ship, go to the left where the little kiosk buildings are located. You will notice the the "turnaround circle" tracks on the other side of those kiosks. Wait there for the trolley, but ask anyone selling around there if it's running that day.
  5. Yelp has 15 reviews of OnPoint, and it's average is 1.5 starts. Most of them are recent, too. I think I'll stick with BinaxNOW for proctoring, and use the Federal freebies for home testing.
  6. Like minds think alike???????...........................................
  7. Not to worry. If you ever do reside together, then call C&A and enroll her, or link her to your account. My now DIL was added while on the ship for a family cruise when she and my son were residing together.
  8. Well, I'm not sure if it fell over, someone "posed" them, or what. But yeah, I can see it. Reminds me of my best friend's grandmother, who lived in a nursing facility for about 15 years, and was definitely dotty. She used to pose all her stuffed animals in socially unacceptable positions, which is HILARIOUS, IMO!
  9. Definitely inside passage. Makes a big difference in the "motion". The entire West Coast of the North American Continent is not for sissies. I think San Diego is the only port I've sailed from that didn't have rocky seas.
  10. Seriously, seriously impressed with this! Wow! Amazing tye-die job. Kudos.
  11. If we could just bottle the "coom-by-ah" on this thread, and sprinkle it like fairy "be nice" dust over the rest of the board, that would be helpful. Off topic: I found out where that expression (totally misspelled here): missionaries in Africa were teaching a song called, "Come by Here, Lord", and the Africans pronounced it this way.
  12. Yes, I looked them up. They are extended, but they are also going to someone who needs them as back-ups during August. It's all good.
  13. Yeah, but even with the extension to November, no way will I use 17 by the end of Nov. Plus, I have a BinaxNOW expiring in Dec. If no takers here, I'll take some dow n to the "giveaway room" here, better known as "the mailroom". It's like a mini-food bank and free thrift store rolled into one.
  14. Thank you for the information. I will still have way too many. So, they now expire Nov 9, 13, and 26th. Offer is still open.
  15. The Feds messed up my first request, so 3 weeks later I asked again. Well, first was one month, and second was the next month, so they sent them BOTH! I now have 17 test kits that expire 8/9, 8/13, and 8/26. Contact my board name with an ri added on, at that yahoo place.
  16. I guess that's a nice thing, but I seriously will have a hard time keeping up with my now 6 vouchers. I get two ginormous bottles of Pellegrino, so there's only so many little bottles I can drink during the day. Maybe I can try virgin drink or two, if there are any that won't put me in a sugar coma.......................................
  17. HA! You sound like a "soft-shell crab" to me, poocher!!
  18. So, I guess my "regulars" getting my vouchered drinks were slooooooooooooow. HA!
  19. Yes, it happens a lot. The only point I want to make here is that people with walkers, wheelchairs, canes, crutches, walking casts, etc., need to find out where the handicap entrance is located. I was in a loooooooooooooooooong line at POM, and the luggage porter told me where the handicap door was (which I didn't need). But, later I saw a guy walking by with a cane to get in the end of the line, and I told him about the entrance. That man would not have made it in that line: there was no place to even sit down while letting your companion get in line. My deceased husband had a severe back problem with standing stationary for any time. He would get in line, I would scout/get permission for him to go inside and wait in a chair until I got inside. Then, I'd go back and tell him so he could go in. That has always irritated me with embarkation docks: they need handicap waiting areas.
  20. But it was a surprise. So, the woulda, coulda, shoulda (in my opinion only) is a little harsh. I'm here on this board to help people. There's already too much harshness in the way we treat each other these days. I believe a little sugar with the bad news is best. Help solve the problem, then "hey, next time......".
  21. You can ask them to check. Your "non" charges don't show up until the next day. I take just enough cash tip money for my freebies, and when it's gone, my vouchers on the card are gone, too.
