Wow! We have arrived early, as suite guests, for the earliest time available for the last two cruises out of there. No issues at all…but we were on a smaller ship that still had a lower booking percentage. Why have boarding times if you are not going to enforce them? They should have seen this coming as capacities grew…checking more documents at the door creates a slowdown. By not enforcing boarding times prior to going to full capacity, word gets out you can ignore them. They also should have more agents checking the documents. All of this can work better. We will see if it does over time.

The last time we shamefully took the free tests, spots were open even within an hour of testing so no people unable to pay were kept from testing due to our selfishness. Tests are easy to come by in many forms. Not nearly as many people hurrying to test these days.

The 1,000,000th Covid and/or short staff thread. Okay, I’ll jump in…the issues have been presented to everyone here and the conclusion I have reached is that…everyone should make their own choices on cruising or doing something else. Royal knows what is going on and has chosen a path.

I was going to book online since I used the one cruise offer I had for 2023 ($ off for both of us) the other day. The website kept failing on all my devices. I called Club Royale and booked it that way. It was annoying, not life threatening…but, for whoever it impacted, it was a rather long outage. It did not work for me for a couple of days. I don’t think that any % of downtime is good for a business doing a lot of business online.

Mine did the same. Called in and booked the cruise I was considering.

That would be a problem for me; I use a CPAP every time I sleep…even naps. I have never had that issue onboard. It concerns me a bit.

Both the package and buying individual drinks bring in tons of profit for Royal Caribbean. Pick your poison…the drink costs them maybe a buck or two at most is profitable no matter how you get it. You pay for free drinks, too. Status by being rewarded for loyalty and in the casino by playing games that all have an advantage for the house. They are raising the prices and will until they see pushback. No pushback, they will stay high. Who is going to pushback?

I did a quick Google search of restaurants serving Gator in Cocoa Beach and there appear to be a bunch of them. I have not eaten Gator much so I don’t have an opinion, but I sure you can find something if you check the reviews. Hopefully, someone has more insight than that…
