There is shopping at the dock so until the construction in town is finished no need to go there.

We  were in St Thomas in September 2018 and the downtown area was a mess.  So are you saying, it still

isn't worth a stop down there? Going in November.

What do you need to say to him that cannot wait until you get on the ship?

If you must know: we cruise very frequently and have come to know certain waiters and when we cruise on their ship again, we sometimes email to request a table in their section. Sometimes they accommodate and sometimes not!

So it’s as simple as that. Enjoy your evening now!😊

  3. Has anyone done Carnival's "shore excursion" to the French Quarter on the morning of debarkation? It sounds good since we have a late flight that evening, however,

it seems as if they put your luggage on a bus, then you are expected to walk to the FQ and tour for a few hours then meet up at a designated place for pick up and

transfer to the airport? Is the FQ really that close to the pier?  I'd appreciated advice from someone who has done this excursion  Thanks for your help...

  4. So I called Royal and after some questioning, "are you sure you didn't order room service?"" how about ordering drinks to your room?" etc? They finally agreed to delete the charge.  So how it happened, I have no clue. Just watch your statements after cruising.  :)

I was charged for bottle of water which I did not drink.  It was on counter not in mini bar.  They gave me credit after I got home and called.

we did have water on the mini bar which we used 2 I believe, however, we are diamond plus and each bottle had a paper tag around it

that said "compliments of crown and anchor"  I'll call today and let you know what they say

  6. We booked the 3 night dining package for our Symphony of the Seas cruise. On the Oasis, they booked our first night for us(once on board we changed the restaurant) and then made reservations for the other 2 nights.  Can we make all of our dining reservations in our cruise planner before boarding? Not sure how that works, but thanks in advance for your help, as usual.

  7. We were also on this sailing. We are diamond plus. We used our cards at various bars for the 3 drinks loaded on seapass then several nights went into the diamond lounge and had no problem getting additional drinks. I’ll add that we really enjoyed this cruise and were happy to see a live orchestra and the entertainment was excellent.

  8. Just got off the phone with an agent at Royal I acted as if I wanted to book the March 16, 2019 cruise on Grandeur. He told me it was in a "code red" which means they are taking no bookings because it is scheduled for dry dock. I asked him about a time frame for notifying guests who are already booked and he told me there "really isn't any time frame" but I'm sure the notifications will be going out.

That's some real good information there. I don't want to cancel my cruise because they MAY offer something to switch to a different cruise, but I need some advance notice for my work schedule. Come on Royal, make some decisions here!!!
