20-30 minutes Ship has to turn around but port about a half mile from bridge.Ship always has to wait for low tide because of the 4' clearance at mean low tide. I drive over Dames Point Bridge everyday about 4:15pm It is impressively close.

We are on a Sunshine 7nt Western and haven't been to any of the ports. With no excursions planned in Cozumel, is the shopping and eating close enough to walk or is it a taxi ride for exploring?

Personally I always pre pay auto tips to cover the most services. I then get a supply of $1 coins for tips. Not only does it set up a segregated tip fund but the coins are a novelty to the recipient.

Does anyone know of any discount code or coupon?

What dates are considered "Spring Break"? We are going out April 11 and hope the crowds have thinned out by then...
-
We had a tablemate on a cruise that had the procedure and still loved dinner. She would order just about everything, take a bite of each one, and we all sampled the dishes she recommended! Win Win

any excursions? How were they? Worth the price? Thanks for the info

90 days ... could really use some SUNSHINE today!

Having sailed on Celebrity Millenium (Alaska), Royal Enchantment, Carnival Fascination (Bahamas), and going back to Carnival Sunshine (Western Caribbean), it does seem there are different attitudes and strengths. Celebrity was more geared for relaxation and constant information. Royal was very good in individual service (room, dining) but very lacking in common area service and security (disruptive groups on deck, halls, restrooms). I really enjoy Carnival's "Fun Ship" attitude from room service to deck activities. My vote is for Carnival and look forward to April's cruise

Is it for just the listed cruises or all cruises? I could use some OBC

Are any of the ports on the Sunshine 7 night Western Caribbean cruise tendered? Any advantage for FTTF?
-
On the Billing page it is supposed to be included in"Taxes, Fees, and Port Expenses" (click on "?" at that spot) I can't find any better break down

I booked our Carnival cruise for April 11,2015 directly through Carnival during Cyber Monday (guaran balcony) with no mention of OBC. It sounds like a lot of booking have OBC as part of the booking. How can I get in on the action?

My best tip would be Don't do Everything! Plan as little as possible, explore the ship, and be open to new adventures. You'll relax more and quickly find out what you enjoy and what you don't. Use what you learn on your first cruise and each cruise after and you can plan more to what you enjoy... but always be open to new adventures. Have Fun!!

We live in Jacksonville and when we go out on Carnival, our son likes to take the fishing boat to the jettys for Ship pics. I also cross the Dames Point Bridge at 6:30am on work days and watch her come into port. Needless to say sometimes it is waiting by the bridge because it only has 4' clearance at low tide.

From those who booked this way, how was the room? Obstructed view rooms? Upgrades offered? Thanks for the replies

We booked an April 11, 2015 cruise on the Carnival Sunshine and took the savings option to have our balcony stateroom assigned later. When should we expect to find out the room number assigned to us?

It was great to meet you and look forward to more Ante Up cruises (looks like next one for us will be 11/15- hopefully it will be Argentinian Off Season)) Scott Chris and crew made it fun.

Was the Casino host's name Michelle? I was on 2 Brilliance cruises earlier this year with her. I really liked her, and am going to be on Enchantment in Feb.
Can you tell me what, if any perks you got with being an M-Life Member?
The only other thing about the hostess was a blonde bob haircut.
As a sapphire MLifer the only perks I noticed this time was shared casino points and an automatic enrollment in C&A on first RC cruise with gold status benefits. It should mean quicker advancement in both.

Where did you go on your Nassau tour?
Old Fort, Atlantis, older section of Nassau Island where the Chinese are building new Casino Resort to compete with Atlantis (scheduled to open 11/14), and downtown Nassau. A LOT of location info and Caribbean trivia ( didn't know natives lived in caves (saw them) at the time of Columbus). Freddie had the wrong connection time but picked us up mid-tour 30 min late but did cover the sites the others had seen after dropping them off (yes, a 1/2 private tour). Do Not take horse and buggy tour. Did that last trip and only saw bad section of town near downtown and heard a lot about family and home info. W#aste of time

Just back from 4 night cruise on Enchantment of the Seas. Overall cruise very nice. Didn't get off at CoCo Cay due to rain and waterspouts. Nassau fun. Took tour with Freddie's (had real good reviews) but had problems. A major inconvenience with this cruise was the huge group of Argentinian 15 yr old girls. Crude, rude, and took up bathrooms as meeting places. Noticed very little supervision and the ones we saw were young men. Service was not bad vut lackluster. Only two standouts that actually approached us and offered active service. Our waiter Sissy (and her assistant Dane) was wonderful, charming, and fun. The other was the British-accented Casino Royal hostess that approached me while I was doing a transaction at the cage. She heard my name, approached, and said she had been looking for me. I had attached my MLife account (MGM Properties Rewards partner) to my C&A account. She welcomed me as a MLife partner and offered any service I needed. All other service personnel stood around and helped you if you approached them.
I'd be glad to answer any questions about Enchantment Cruise I can.

I usually pick up a couple of rolls of $1 coins at the bank before I cruise. It covers usual tipping but the recipients enjoy the coins
