  1. We did a cruise from Athens to Venice. Kotor was the most beautiful sail-in we’ve ever experienced and we absolutely loved Dubrovnik. I’m not sure what you mean about Dubrovnik being theme park? Both are places we would love to return to.
  2. I booked a reserve mini suite with a $99 deposit yesterday.
  3. Ours wasn’t able to either. 😔 I just hope they are able to book the same category so we can dine together.
  4. Yes we booked the cruise tour our TA recommended. We like the ease of going through the cruise line. I’m sure you could have a better experience diy. Hopefully we get to see some cool wildlife. We don’t have any photography equipment to carry with us. We just use our phones. I’m sure I can make that work since we can have another bag waiting for us when we get to the ship. Thanks for the info!
  5. We’ve already booked a cabin for the two of us. I can’t imagine we could book a second under one of our names again. Also, wouldn’t we receive credit for the second cabin instead of them?
  6. That will be nice! Sometimes the dining room meals on cruises take forever.
  7. That’s disappointing. Will prices be the same August 1st? Is there a chance the reserve collection mini suites could sell out before then? If they do, we wouldn’t even be able to dine with them without giving up that perk. I don’t even know if they will want to do this. Normally we would all decide on a cruise before booking it but dh and I just jumped on this last night.
  8. We booked one of these for Alaska. It says we get extra menu items. Can someone share what additional items we could expect to see?
  9. Thanks for the reminder! We got distracted yesterday booking Alaska for 2026 and I totally forgot about it! Btw, what’s the Nike? I just know it as shoes.
  10. How often/how many times have you been to Europe? We have between 200-300 euros sitting in our safe waiting for next summer. We were just talking about how that would get us started next summer until we come across an atm in Barcelona.
  11. No first visit to Paris would be complete without seeing the Mona Lisa, if for no other reason than to say you have. I appreciate all the details you provided about the various museums. While I’m sure we would enjoy Musée d’Orsay, we will have very little time in Paris and so much to see that a second museum will not be make the cut. Although I find myself quite drawn to the first two paintings above. Is that the style we would see there? If we find ourselves will time to fill we could squeeze it in, but that is doubtful. We will only have 3 days in Paris, which isn’t enough to see everything we should. What type of things were you expecting to see they didn’t have?
  12. We booked last night as gold members. Our friends that are thinking of traveling with us have never sailed with Princess. Will they have to wait until August 1st to book or can our TA book them joined with us somehow?
  13. We booked a reserve mini suite cruisetour for $198 deposit.
  14. We did the Med for this first time this year. We absolutely loved it!! We have another booked for next summer and just booked Alaska for 2026.
  15. We love MSC's yacht club and will be sailing with them our of Barcelona next summer. We just booked an Alaska cruisetour with Princess for 2026. Maybe we will revisit Norway at another time.
  16. We ended up booking with Princess to Alaska instead.
  17. We really want to do a land and sea tour, which I don't believe NCL does.
  18. What about the 13-day Connoisseur Escorted Tour SB6? Anchorage to Vancouver Looking at June 21 on the Discovery. Is that a good date? I can't go earlier, but could go through late July. Would an aft be best in Alaska? If not, which side?
  19. I just asked dh what he wants to see. (This is his bucket list cruise, not mine, although I'm sure I will enjoy it too!) He said he doesn't know. lol Whales, glaciers, and bears. Fjords would be a nice bonus. We're thinking land and sea cruisetour. We're looking at Princess now, but will probably check others as well. I see Glacier Bay is highly recommended and in our "price range" that is only available with Princess and Holland, correct? I think someone else said NCL does it as well. Are their itineraries open yet? I know I can check myself, didn't know if anyone knew off the top of the head.
  20. What limits? I'm definitely not a toothbrush and some undies kind of gal! But we were planning on booking a cruisetour. Without even checking, I'm most certain Cunard would not be in our budget.
  21. Maybe once we retire we would be more likely to pay that far in advance. At this time we aren't and we can only do 1 big trip a year.
  22. Thanks! We sailed with Princess once before so now that I logged in I am able to see the cruises with pricing. This would be our first Alaskan cruise. What should we look for? We're thinking land and sea and I hear Princess does it best. I have to admit the first, and only time, we sailed with Princess we weren't impressed. But that was a long time ago and on an older ship so we're willing to give them another try. Which ports do we need to look for? Any advice from you seasoned Alaska cruisers would be appreciated!!
