  1. I'm on Seaside in June. We have drinks and wi-fi but I checked and if I wanted to add it as an extra it is $427 for easy plus drinks and $72 for one device wi-fi. not sure about any surcharges if you add the drinks package after booking.

    You need to cruise more.

The fact is it's costly to desalinate ocean water.  That's why it's rarely done in the USA.  If it were cheap, California wouldn't have a water shortage.

Next time you are on a cruise ask the environmental officer.  RCI does absolutely buy municipal water.  Plus water on the ship is chlorinated, you are just nose blind to the smell.  I spent 40 years with a well, with no chlorine.  I can smell it instantly.

Sorry, you don't agree, but what I posted is 100% true.

    "seawater
Yes. All drinking water is either distilled from seawater or loaded onboard while the ship is in port. Royal Caribbean adheres to Vessel Sanitation Program standards published by the U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS)."

I don't disagree. I definitely need to cruise more. 🙂

I did not know they bought water so I was incorrect. I thought I remembered seeing a show that explored all the parts of the ship we don't see as cruisers and them saying they had to desalinate all their water.

It depends on the ship and location.  Frequently RCI purchases municipal water in ports.

I've noticed a strong chlorine smell on some ships.  That's why I prefer bottled water.

Why would RCL BUY water from a municiplaity when it has UNLIMITED amounts of water it can desalinize and purify for consumption? I have NEVER tasted water on a ship of any cruise line that had a chemical taste or even a smell. Just keeping buying and they will keep selling. I grew up drinking water out of a garden hose, Maybe that's my problem.

Prohibited list says no sports gear which is a very broad statement that they might say covers paddle boards.

Thanks. This is the info I need. Everything fits in a large backpack, surprisngly. Living near Port Canaveral we never have to worry about travel to Florida ports. I have considered stuffing it into a large duffel bag but I have concerns about damage.

Never have, and seems a hassle. I don’t know what time limit you are referring to, the ship’s departing time kinda controls all of that.

I'm referring to the $XXX per hour they charge. You seem like one of those people that answer a specific question by saying I have no ZERO experience or knowledge of what you ask but feel compelled to give a completely ignorant answer.

I really intended to get off the ship in the Bahamas and paddle board back to Florida so thank you for telling me how the ship's departure time my affect my plans.

There’s apparently a launch on Feb 26th between 1 pm and 6 pm at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. Does this affect the cruises that are departing from PC that day? We’ll be on WOS which is supposed to depart at 4:30 pm. Will we be able to see the launch from the ship? This is our first time cruising from PC so we’re excited to go on this new adventure. 😊

If the rocket launches the weather should be nice and you will definitely be able to see and hear the launch. The trajectory of the rocket should not cause any delays.

    Yes

Just like I will pay more at a restaurant if tips were not expected either.

Paid a ton of money at Sandals with the benefit of zero tipping outside of our butler. Others will get fired if they try to solicit tips. Pay a good wage, make the employees happy, and make it so that if someone doesn't perform you have others lined up for paying so well.

Why did you tip your butler if they were properly compensated like other employees?

The 499.00 is the average per person double occupancy cruise fare only.  You still have port fees and taxes, and as you say you took the FAS offers which means you pay the gratuities on the drink and dining packages.  No bait and switch, you just failed to read the terms and conditions of the offer before jumping in.  Still 2104.00 for two people to sail a9-day cruise with open bar and specialty dining for however many days is not a bad deal.

So when I looked at Escape before the "SCAM/sale" it was arounf $3400 for 2 people during spring break. During the sale when it was 2nd guest sails free $3500. Stright BS marketing but I guess some people do not know or are ignorant about how "SCAM/sales" work.
