  1. We spent a week in San Juan at the beginning of this month. The trolleys are gone. They do have a couple of green golf carts that fit about 6 people if you can manage to find one. They driver said that both Trolley's broke down so they will use these until they are repaired. Another taxi driver told us there was to much drinking/smoking etc. (other kind of trouble) so they had to stop them. I hope they bring them back!

We are looking at renting a car in San Juan but I've read a few comments that its rather unsafe, We'll have 3 children with us. Is it really that bad?

Does anyone have any ideas how else we can get around as a party of 6.

Our plans were to jump on the trolley bus and visit the fort and also trying to visit the Hard Rock Cafe but I've figured out tonight RC docks on the other side.

There are no more free trolleys. Now it is only an extended golf cart. It is green in case you get a chance to see it. It does fit 6 people if you can find one. It stops at the same stops but usually already has people on it.

I just spent a week in San Juan. We found a driver that took us everywhere. His vehicle fit the 6 of us comfortably. Much safer. A rental can break down anytime and you would be stuck. The price would depend on how much time you take up of the drivers. We pretty much spent 4 to 6 hours with our driver and it ran about $250.00. Once you get off the ship there will be a lot of taxi drivers. Ask if their vehicle fits 6 and ask a price. Most of the time you can barter.

One other tidbit - the closer in (or current) listed sailings tend to have more and more accurate info. Even so, don't get too excited over the app or rely too heavily on it - many times the info is off.

    Note taken. Thanks

  5. How soon can you make reservations for the shows etc? It says you have to make reservations, is that right? Not really sure how I feel about that. Did anyone else feel apprehensive about having to do this? I would feel bad reserving seats and not feel like going that night and someone could have had those seats. When do we know what the shows will be?

    Thanks!

There have been a lot of threads on that and on most that I have read it is reported that both have to buy the package, but if one requests a refreshment package instead, that may be allowed.  Apparently a special request will have to be made, it can not be done on the website.

Thanks Bee Guy. A drink package would just not be worth it for me but would be for my boyfriend. Our OBC would cover what I would have to drink.

We were on the 2/24 sailing and loved our cruise.  Lots of favorite things but the most fave would be Central Park.  Beautiful, usually quiet and peaceful unless you were at the Trellis bar.  So many plants and trees, a few flowers too.  Birds singing and chirping during the day, crickets at night.  I’m sure the sounds were recordings but still added to the ambiance of the park.  Violin and piano musicians in the evening.  Loved spending time there.

And the adults only solarium, we spent a lot of time there too.  Wonderful.

The ice skating show, the aqua theater show, both were amazing.

Room service breakfast on our balcony, my favorite wat to start any cruise day.

Never felt crowded, so many places on this huge ship to be.

    Loved it all!

Wow that all sounds wonderful. I love to listen to birds and crickets! (even if they are recordings)
