  1. DAY 5

Day 5 was a day at sea so of course the pools were jam packed. It was a little windy however my alligators did a superb job of holding my towel in place:

    Enjoying your review.

Where did you find the alligators? We were on the Freedom last week and on Saturday while sitting around the pool deck watching college football, a couple across from us had green alligators which is a very practical idea. My wife even commented that I should have come up with the idea so we would be rich and could enjoy the Caribbean everyday. I'm sure the inventor of these clips spent countless days on the pool deck trying to figure out how to keep his towel from sliding off the chair.

  2. My kids are 14 and 18 so I booked them in the adult class. I assumed the children's class would be smaller/younger children.

Glad you pointed that out as I had wondered if anyone would say anything about my 14 y/o being there.

No problem. They actually acknowledged that the website is not age specific, so I'm sure they heard it before. We only knew because we stopped in on day 1 while we were walking around waiting for our room to become available.

I'm sure your 14 year old will have fun.

  3. Just off the Freedom and my 15 year old daughter did the cupcake decorating class. The only thing I have to add is to be aware of the difference in age if you book on the website pre-cruise. The two options for the class is child and adult with no age span for child. Pre-booked a child class in advance, and when we boarded the ship we stopped by the Cupdake shop to confirm my daughter's reserved space and was told by the staff that we should switch my daughter to the adult class since the child class was really intended for small children. They refunded me the child class payment and was able to add my daughter to one of the adult classes.

  4. Thank you! I paid $6 per jar. Where in Burlington do you get the seasoning? We live very close to there.

Ok, I remember you posted something not too long ago about relocating to the Princeton area. The restaurant is called Sam Lords Caribbean Bakery & Cuisine located On Route 541 (exit 47A 295) across from the Burlington Center Mall, in a strip mall with a Dunkin Donuts and a Dollar Tree.

  5. We walked around a little while longer. Here are some more shots of the area:

I found my Walkerswood Jerk Seasoning in the duty free store. Yay! I've cooked with it already and it really packs the heat! Not quite the same as jerk chicken in Jamaica because of the way it's cooked, but it's still good.

Congratulations on the pregnancy and condolences on the the loss of your grandmother. As always I'm enjoying your trip report. I use Walkerswood Jerk Seasoning, discovered it at a local Caribbean restaurant in Burlington. Out of curiosity, how much did you pay for the jar in Jamaica? I pay $3.50, locally, but have seen it as high as $8.50 in Myrtle Beach and Virginia Beach.
