we are booked on the "connie" this nov 24' and after sailing on her many times, we like the ship and her sailing out of our hometown----tampa is a real perk..Only down side after the dry dock was the fact that the balcony cabins on deck 7 &8 were barely touched in the process...We despise shower curtains and as we use the our balcony alot, they needed to be spruced up and that did not happen. In reading the thoughts of people that have sailed on her since the dry dock it seems that they upgraded the public areas and left many of the cabins as is...I guess if the ships are sailing at near capacity, corporate probably feels that they don't need to address the cabins...On a recent cruise on her the shower curtain in our cabin was filthy and had shrunk and allowed the water to flood our bathroom. I asked our great cabin attendant for a new curtain and it took her several hours to get one, but she got it done...She got a nice tip!!!!!. As far a entertainment, customer service, bar  and mdr service, it does not get any better...Food has gone downhill, but according to the food and beverage folks at corp that is not going to get any better..I guess that keeps us from gaining any weight while sailing with celebrity...bottom line, still better than ncl, carnival, rccl & princess,  and we will stay loyal customers of celebrity.

We will also be on Connie this November, 2024.

Definitely need to upgrade cabins, shower, USB connectors carpet.

DH and I sailed on the Constellation in March, before the refurbishment. It needed a lot of it but none of that would change the unfriendly crew and officers nor the mediocre food. Bar waiters on Deck 10 were snarky and we constantly had to wave them down for service. We are 4* Mariners on Holland America and enjoy the HAL ships' friendly crew and officers, the wonderful food, and the beautiful ships. We are also Diamonds on Carnival and even those cruises, those without a lot of kids, have better food and friendly crew. This was our first and last Celebrity cruise.

Lol, you seem a bit entitled, never had an issue on the Constellation with rude/unfriendly crew, maybe you should stay on HAL.

Live webcam from the bridge facing forward would be nice.  🙂

We the same issue on the Constellation this past January, 2024.

The only stations available were children's programming and X info pages.

Depending on who you spoke with you would get different answers to why service was out.

Fortunately, we were able to get ESPN for the National Championship game !

  4. On our last cruise in January on Connie, the tv service was so bad, reception was very, very poor, it was hit and miss with getting any tv service.

When you were able to get a channel it was mostly children's tv.

This was the week of the College Football National Championship.

We are not big tv viewers, we like to watch morning and evening news.

I hope they have fixed the issue

I'm a long time Royal Cruiser new to Celebrity and I am considering purchasing a premium drink package. The package is currently on sale for 20% off ($83.99/day). Since my Royal Diamond status converts to Celebrity Elite, will I get an elite discount on the package in addition to the sale price?

    thanks!

    no

Just saw Constellation. We are sailing from Marseille on Oceania Vista.

I wish thet had done more to cabins !

We love Connie, cruised on her a few times, but cabins are very outdated compared to Edge class ships.

They really need to install USB connections and update showers with new shower heads and glass doors.

Can you get a hole punched in your SeaPass or does that mess it up? Can we go to Guest Services and have it punched? That makes it a lot easier to carry on a lanyard!

Hello Again Mark, Remember Me ?

    Go Blue !

  8. The only issue we had with towels are we get too many, which is great !

They always give us fresh towels in the morning, afternoon and prior to returning to cabin in the evening.

We enrolled in the Stay Green, I think that's the name, anyway, after many X cruises you would never know, cabin attendants are always sprucing up our cabin !

They deserve a lot more than what they make !

  9. We have cruised out Tampa several times, but have never stayed at a hotel the night prior.

We booked a hotel in Ybor City, but, know nothing about the area.

    Any suggestions on restaurants ?

My understanding is if you use the 90 minutes you no longer have a discount.  People are saying use the 90 minutes first and then the purchased package. I ask why???  Why bother, if you paid for a package use it.

I have had some success stacking the pre-cruise discount and the CC discount by calling the CC number.  You cannot do it online, you have to call.  Flash sales are just that, They come and go in a flash and are marked as FLASH SALE.  The best times for them seem to be Black Friday and July 4.  There are others but the discounts don't seem to be as big.

The real rip off comes when you both have Elite status but you only buy a single device package during a flash sale thinking that "oh, I can use my 90 minutes and they are gone, I can use hers because we did not use that perk during the Flash Sale".  Nope, once you activate the package your other perk is gone whether or not you used  the discount.

I always have issues logging into ship wifi and tech staff says I must use my 90 minutes before I use my purchased wifi.

It's not me making this up.

I heard this from other cruisers as well.

I'm in my reservation currently and it shows,

    Premium Wi-Fi 2 Devices

    Full Sailing - 13 Days

    From

$35.99 / per guest per day
    $45.89 onboard
    (20% OFF) PRE-CRUISE SAVINGS

As an Elite member of Captain's Club, we get another 30 percent discount so that should be $10.80 off the cost or $25.19 a day. When added to the cart, the only discount applied is the 20 percent off for pre-cruise savings. Total is $467.87, which is $35.99 a day X 13 days.

So, you purchased Premium wifi  ?

Elite, you have 90 minutes, you have to use it first.
