  1. I always look at home port cruises (NY) before anything else just to avoid flying. I wish there was a bigger selection of itineraries but paying an extra $1,400+ for all the flights + 1-2 nights in a hotel + food + ubers from airport to hotel to port to airport doesn't make sense for me at this point. It easily adds another $2,000 to the vacation budget. I'd rather go on another cruise instead.. For those that don't have sailings close to home I see how this would be prohibitive.
  2. I saw that posted elsewhere but when I went on their website there was no phone number to call with questions which made me a bit uncomfortable using them. I googled and found a number but it was a regular voicemail with their message and didn't sound like a professional phone message you would expect at a clinic. Doesn't mean they're not legitimate, perhaps just less professional/formal, but I do wish I could read more reviews or get more information before trying them.
  3. If you have a positive PCR (not rapid) 11 days - 90 days before embarkation, with PCR positive date being day 0 as far as I understand - you can board with a certificate of recovery and no need for pre boarding test. Be aware that some ports will not allow you to disembark but you can get on the ship: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/if-recovered-from-covid-19-need-to-be-vaccinated-or-take-a-test-to-sail
  4. So we rushed to get a PCR test. Positive. Glad we did it because it was exactly 13 days pre-cruise. Now I need to get a certificate of recover but have to wait until day 11 after PCR positive since that's the date they look at (not when we actually started having symptoms which was a week before that). Anyone know of a telehealth provider who can issue this? urgent care where we got tested won't issue a letter and my primary is on vacation... we may already test negative by the time we do it BUT just in case.
  5. Royal's website states that positive test result must be a PCR test. Does this include the proctored NAAT test that we use before the cruise or must this be a PCR test at a provider's office?
  6. Really depends on the credit value per game. I was hoping they could spend it over 2-3 days playing 30 minutes or so each day but if each game is $5 not going to happen.
  7. Hi all - going on two cruises this summer with kids in tow. First on the adventure and then on the oasis. I see the arcade credits in cruise planner. Can anyone tell me what the arcades are like at either of these ships and what the average prices are for the games? wondering if this is worth purchasing with the current discount. Thanks!
  8. Hi all, just tried making a my time dining reservation for an Oasis 8/14 sailing. Reservations just opened up 2 days ago and the earliest I see for my time dining is 8:15pm. Is this normal? This is way too late. I was hoping for a 7pm (ish) reservation.
  9. @molly361 thanks so much! How my application ended up in New Orleans is beyond me. I submitted this in NYC...ðŸĪŠ I hope they work quickly. It's been 3.5 weeks since they received it and still processing. I did pay the $60 to expedite.
  10. I'm curious as to where mine is being processed. Couldn't get google to bring up any useful info. Do you have link to share? My processing center is 42 in case you know where that is 🙂
