  1. I must also agree....Sorrento was nice to see but didn't need to spend a lot of time there. We combined with tours of Positano, Amalfi and Ravello which made for a fanatastic day.

Stopping for lunch in Positano overlooking the coast was the hi-lite of the tour.

  2. Our meal included an Antipasto platter, pasta, grilled meats and some fish. They raise all of their own animals and grow all of the vegatables on site.

As Terry mentioned, you will not leave hungry. I'm sure if you wanted something different they would accomodate.

  3. Absolutely...We used Domenico from Private tour in Italy. This area is his specialty. We had a fantastic time. My daughter and son-in-law used him last year and loved him. I have reffered numerous people to him and in fact a good friend of mine just used him last week and raved about his tour.

If you need and further info please feel free to ask.

  4. Hi TidyGirl,

Private tours in Kotor are relatively inexpensive compared to some of the other ports and a great way to see this fabulous place. I had a very detailed thread a while ago about Milo. He is the driver that took us around Kotor during our stop and he was absolutely fantastic and reasonably priced. You can figure between 100 - 150 Euro for about a 5 hour tour and that was for the 4 of us not per person. Over the years I have sent referred hundreds of cruise critic members to Milo and have received a lot of great response.

If you require more info you can e-mail Milo at popmilo@rocketmail.com or you can check out his facebook page toursbymilo

  5. La Tagliata is a must!! We stopped there for lunch and it was the best couple of hours I have ever spent. The view, meal, surroundings were just incredible. It was one of those moments in time that I will never forget.

Our day consisted of Sorrento, Positano (with lunch at LA Tagliata), Amalfi and then to Ravello.

  9. In regards to Dubrovnik, if you have never been we had a couple of must see’s

Celebrity was offering a free bus ride to the sea-side town of cavtat. Not a long bus ride but what a beautiful town. We just strolled along the waterside that borders the town.

A lot of nice café’s and places to sit as you walk.

In Dubrovnik you can do a lot on your own. We just walked the old town and took in the sites. When in Dubrovnik you must go to Café Buza!! Not a lot of people know about it but what a gem. This bar/café is in a class of its own. It’s hard to find, but definitely worth it. If you walk along the inside of the south wall in Dubrovnik’s walled old town, you’ll see a small doorway with a sign saying “Cold drinks” and “The best view in Dubrovnik”. Follow those signs, and you’ll emerge through the city wall and into a café that clings to the outside, far about the rocks and waves below. You’ve found Buza. You can always ask if you get lost (we did) We enjoyed a cold Croatian beer there and just took in the view.
