Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Agree. The unlimited package on HAL was terrific. And the laundry QUALITY on HAL was also much better than Princess.
  2. Yes, I paid about $2,600 in upgrade charges for Princess Plus and/or a room upgrade (I forget which). This is the refund to which I am referring.
  3. Thought I might update y'all on my Princess cancellation saga. The short version is: there is no update. My cruise is STILL booked; no refund. I filed a complaint with the BBB. Princess responded to the BBB complaint saying that "someone from the casino department" would call me. They still have not contacted me. In Princess's response, they quoted a completely wrong booking number despite me giving them the correct booking number. I also filed a dispute with the credit card company -- just that I am awaiting a refund. Maybe that will get their attention. Such a sad state of affairs @Princess Cruises.
  4. Something is definitely going wrong @ Princess Cruises Casino department. I called to cancel a cruise two weeks ago. After waiting about an hour for a callback, I spent 15 minutes trying to get it cancelled. The agent said I would have my refnd in 10 to 14 days. After two weeks, the cruise was still showing as booked, so I called again today. Today's agent said the cruise was still booked and there were no notes that it was to be cancelled. Crazy! So.... I told him to go ahead and cancel it. He said he had to escalate it to a special team to cancel and that it would take up to 14 days to cancel. What ****! They are obviously just trying to slow roll cancellations so that they can hold on to my money (approx. $3k) as long as possible. There also no longer appears to be a dedicated Casino team. The people who answer the calls are now called "Navigators" (you can't make this up) to help you. They appear to just be offshore call center employees. I really think we deserve better than this! Sorry, I needed to vent.
  5. I had a Princess casino offer for a free 12 day cruise inside cabin with Princess Plus (tips, drinks, and grats) included. I submitted it to HAL, and they offered me... wait for it... a $200 casino credit. To add insult to injury, it wasn't even valid on the cruise I wanted to take (a TA). When I asked what they could do for the TA, they said nothing...
  6. I think you need to chill out. The casino offers for years have required the $200 deposit and yes, they do get returned on board as OBC. Sometimes I've received the cancellation notice for casino bookings as well. As I understand it, the Casino department has to "make a payment" on the reservation to another department at Princess. Sometimes they are running late, but an email to the casino department quickly resolves the issue. I think the CA AG has better things to do than worry about this.
  7. 7 days. I don't remember the bid range, but my bid was just above the lowest bid level and was considered weak. Frankly, I was surprised that I got the upgrade. Also, I ONLY bid on mini-suite; did ot bid on premium balcony.
  8. I bid for an upgrade on my Enchanted Princess October 1 sailing. I got upgraded! Bid $210/pp for upgrade from balcony to mini-suite. Paid for upgrade as directed. Was pretty seamless.
  9. I wish they would not bother giving away this "VIP" garbage. It's all crap and all ends up in the trash.
