We decided to put the other cabin in daughter's name and just be happy with the $100 OBC for our cabin

Yes, Kazu! This will be our 4th HAL cruise, but introducing DD and DGD to cruising the civilized way. I don't anticipate DGD being interested in the HAL club, but who knows? I think there will be enough onboard to keep her interested

Since it was more than 5'years ago, my memory is not the best, but I wasn't worried, so,it must have been in a timely manner

We did pictures with them in 2015 for out 20th anniversary. They were the best pictures of the two,of us we have ever had take. Expensive, but totally worth it. We received them plus a DVD of what we didn't order without any problem. Makes me wonder if the contractors are different ship to ship

We're both cabins in your name or could you just show you paid for both cabins?

So it would not make any difference if it was in her name or not. If we are in the same cabin, we each get the same number of points. Might as well let my daughter and granddaughter get to a one star mariner

Stockholders shares aside, if one cabin was in my name and the other in husbands, would we get Mariners points for both rooms?

Wish I had asked the question before we booked the cruise. Too late now since we already put one cabin in daughter's name

Booked two cabins for Alaskan sail. One for us and one for daughter and granddaughter. Since we are paying for both. But their cabin is I. Daughter's name, can I get the stockholder's OBC for both rooms?

I saw that special at Doubletree. Do they have a shuttle into downtown? If not, would it be expensive to take a cab to downtown and back?

Now I have another question regarding the beverage package that comes with the Explore 4. Since granddaughter is only 13 and does not drink soda pop, what kind of beverage is available and would be appealing to her?

Booked a cruise with daughter and granddaughter. Decided to go two separate cabins, but was told that the beverage package is only mandatory for the two main people in the suite regardless of age of the other passengers

Just booked an Alaskan cruise with out daughter and granddaughter. Priced out a Neptune suite with dressing room vs. separate cabins. We went with two outside cabins for about $2500 less plus privacy and sanity

Just booked two outside category G cabins for Alaska and the price for the explore 4 promo was less than if I was to take it off

If one of the people in the cabin is over 21 but does not drink alcohol do they have to purchase? She does not drink soda either. If she has to purchase, how much do,they charge for the 3rd person?

Thinking about taking daughter and granddaughter on Alaskan cruise, getting a Neptune suite that would not be crowded with four people. What happens with the signature beverage package? Is it good for only two people or can the 3rd and 4th people in the room share it(they would not be drinking alcohol)?

So, it isn't just over happy hour?

Oh well.....there goes that plan!

Hopefully, we will be able to do the happy hour buy one bucket of corona and get one free!

That is closer to what I remember paying. We usually drink the corona. Wonder if the $23 is for that or for the Bud, etc

Educate me on the 'Wine Packages'
in Holland America Line
Posted
We have done wine packages on two cruises. There seemed to be confusion each time we ordered our wine with dinner. Not so much in the MDR, but we asked for one of our bottles in the lido, one in the crows nest and once in the Pinnacle. Each time it seemed to throw the server off and it took a long time to get out wine to us. We had one bottle capped for later(it was opened in the Pinnacle) and when we asked for it when in the MDR the next night, they could not find it. They made it right by giving us a whole new bottle, but it all took time and dinner was well on its way by the time we got it. We asked for our left over bottles at the end of the cruise...ones we had not opened..and that threw them into tizzy as well. We have a package for our upcoming Panama Canal cruise and hope it goes better. Not sure if the problem was with us or them. Maybe one n ends to call ahead to where ever you might want to drink the wine and ask for it to be sent there at s specific time?
