  1. Hey there! Thanks for stopping by! No they do not have an in house shuttle but offered me a business card for a shuttle service. I will probably just call a lyft/uber in the morning when we’re ready.
  2. Emma is dropped off and hopefully playing nicely with her friends at doggie daycare. She loves to lay directly in front of the AC vents in the truck. She even tries to come up front and invade my space. Current Status- mostly packed and one last work item to take care of then packing up and hitting the road.
  3. Emma “working” from home today. The word “work “ is being used very loosely!
  4. The hotel I chose is Courtyard Marriott. Looked to be very close to the port. I believe they even mention walking distance to port somewhere. 🤔 I chose park & cruise option. It was another $20 ish added to the hotel rate but will save $20/day from port parking. Will I regret this decision? We shall see.
  5. Plan for today: Work - partial day Lunch- drop Emma at doggie daycare Pack last minute items 3-4pm ish - hopefully on the road to Baltimore. Expecting approx. 4 hr drive. Checkin to hotel - hopefully by 8 Having beverages (plural!) 😃- hopefully by 8:05 We have 11am boarding time tomorrow. Cheers🍻
  6. Emma says.. hmm something is up. She will require several treats for the inconvenience of going to doggie daycare.
  7. I like to be heavy on pictures and light on words in my LIVES whenever possible. Feel free to join in and ask questions etc. I’ll do my best to find answers if I don’t already know. Here is the itinerary:
  8. It’s THAT time again everyone!! I accidentally booked this 5 nighter to Bermuda out of Baltimore a couple months ago. Oops! I did it again 🤣 I always have my eye out (since I am a known & admitted cruise-a-holic) for certain cruises especially when I can drive to port. I saw a decent rate on a JS GTY combined with the Labor Day weekend and was sold. Some of you may remember at almost this exact time last year we were planning to go to Bermuda on Liberty out of NJ but the hurricane had a different plan for us. We ended up being diverted to a CA/NE itinerary instead… which btw we ended up LOVING! So yeah, we weren’t mad but were left with the itch to get back to Bermuda… and here we are!
  9. Happy Anniversary! Hope you have a great time. We tried Virgin once and have another scheduled. DEFINTELY different and ‘on purpose’ different but not in a bad way. We had a great time and it was refreshing to have a different experience. You’re going to love the balcony hammock!! cheers 🍻
  10. Hi There! Following along. I hadn’t seen express lane before either. Sounds like a way to move along general boarding a bit faster for those who did check in ahead of time. Do you recall suites lines still being separate? We did the CA/NE itinerary at this same time last year (by accident due to hurricane). We loved Portland and Halifax. I don’t recall the name of the place right now but the lobster roll was awesome in Portland.
  11. We board Vision for Bermuda this Saturday and plan to drive to Baltimore tomorrow afternoon once we get packed up and can officially log off of work 😀 I’ll probably start a LIVE thread at some tonight or tomorrow. Keep an eye out and feel free to pop in.
  12. Yikes!! 😬 That’s is quite a typo! Hope everyone is doing well. I’ve been away for awhile and well over 10 pages behind. We board Vision in less than a week for Bermuda. Yah!! Looking forward to that.
  13. Correct Medicare open enrollment is every year called an annual election period (AEP). It’s from 10/15 to 12/7 for a 1/1/25 effective date this year. This is the time to make any changes (if needed). Newly eligible is different.
  14. I’ve missed a few days here due to driving back to Pittsburgh from Alys Beach FL. Ended up being about 15 hrs one way. split the drive into about half over 2 days. Compared to flying I think I prefer the drive (as long as I have the extra vacation time to use). We had 14 total in our house at the beach. 10 adults and 4 kids (10,6, 2 and 2 yr old). The pool was amazing and a short walk to the beach. There was even a golf cart with the house. I snapped some quick pics before the kids took over the pool.
  15. Without getting too deep into the weeds since insurance can be a VERY touchy subject. I second this advice. Find a good broker. Everyone’s needs and situation is different & good broker will listen your needs and recommend the best fit.
  16. We had the Cousins Food Truck at our community clubhouse during covid times. It was good (and expensive). I did not realize they were in shark tank.
  17. 30A area FL. Technically I’m in Alys Beach. Pronounced “Alice” Beach That particular pool photo is at the condo complex at the very beginning of 30A. I can’t recall the name of it right now. Big Bad Breakfast patio seating is in the lower level of the complex.
