  1. Question please for those of you who had CC Dining on Caribbean Princess:

Is the enterance to CC Dining (deck 6) Coral dining room ... starboard side?

    This is correct.

Since others asked about seating, unless you arrive as soon as it opens or late there can be a wait. The first night they gave us an option of a pager or at a table next to CC, but in the MDR. We chose the MDR, with the full CC experience. The second we sat at a community table. The third night there was a wait. After that we came early. Service was outstanding, and I enjoyed the food.

  2. Time to move over to SilverSea and Crystal, then. They don't "nickel and dime" anyone for anything. They just charge about $2000 more for the same itinerary.

Conversely, you could avoid the Crown Grill and just patronize the MDR's or the buffet. Don't want to be charged for Crown Grill, then don't attend the Crown Grill. Simple as that.

  3. Excellent! Thanks very much for the info, and we happen to have the AIBP also.

Also, if you want more than one, order a small pitcher of orange juice and get the small bottles of so-called champagne to make your own. You’ll get 2 out of each bottle. The servers will be happier because they won’t have to run to the bar so much.

  4. Wow - I disagree. The arrangements I have received onboard have been beautiful and far cheaper then if I was to purchase them back home. Probably half the cost. They also seem to last the entire 7 day cruise.

I agree, I've gotten beautiful arrangements and they've lasted.

  5. Here are some features of using the interactive screens associated with having a Medallion. You can decide if these are to increase onboard revenue or not:

    •
    • Order a drink, and have it delivered wherever you are.

    • Make specialty dining reservations.

    • See available venues.

    • Create your Tagalong[emoji769], a digital companion for your cruise.

    • Compete against other guests through interactive games.

    • Play casino games anywhere on board.

    • Shop from anywhere on the ship — and have it delivered to you!

    • No touch pay.

    • Receive invitations to excursions based on your profile preferences.

    • Discover what people love about the places you’ll see.

Sounds awesome! I can't wait for my first Medallion cruise.

  6. We missed Mykonos on our Med cruise due to high winds. My husband looked out the window to see we were in port, we went back to sleep and when we woke we were at sea again. My son said he woke up and the ship was listing badly while tied to the dock. Yes, it's disappointing, but I'll take the advice of the Captain over an App any day. Also, you might not have noticed, but the taxes were credited back to your account.

  7. Looking at options for touring Cartagena and have appreciated all the threads so far. Has anyone ever used Hop On Hop Off as an option? Looking at that, or perhaps Dora the Explorer. Appreciate any recommendations!

We had planned on the HoHo, but time is limited with our schedule change. We've opted for Dora instead.

  8. On our first Princess cruise we took in April we had a suite and the laundry was one of my favorite things. I had little laundry to do when I got home. The only thing I didn't like is the little tags they glue to the inside of garments that become very stiff and are hard to remove. I got over it though. Haha!

Club class dining was great, but being my first Princess cruise I have nothing to compare it to. It sounds like the service is faster from what I've read though.

Can't wait for our next cruise. Hopefully in November! :D

I love those little tags. I find them for months afterwards and they provide happy little memories.

  9. I think this came up on another thread, but with no confirmation. The website still says:

"Grownups will love our All-Inclusive Beverage Package, which includes unlimited cocktails, wine, beer, bottled water, teas, sodas specialty coffees and more, for just $57.45 per day!^ And for kids of all ages, from 2 to 102, our Unlimited Soda & More package includes fountain drinks, fruity mocktails, juices and creamy hot chocolate!"

  10. I have a forward suite booked on the Pacific. It was the only suite available. The only drawback that I know of is that the balcony is unusable while under way. This doesn't bother me because I rarely use the balcony, only when arriving into port.

  11. Hi there - received same info regarding Panama trip - have sent emails to the CEO in USA and UK. It is concerning the CP is sailing with known 'Technical Issues' - presume full speed is not achievable from my limited understanding. We will have to cut at least one evenings entertainment short to go to bed early for a ridiculous 05h00 docking time! We are going to have to cancel two of our trips due to the new time changes. Unbelievable they consider all this to be worth $50!. We all work hard and save hard to go on a cruise to relax, enjoy and have a great time. Princess want us to 'come back new'....really? p.s. how does sailing on a ship with known 'technical issues' affect our insurance?:o

We booked Princess excursions and they have adjusted the times. That's too bad you had to cancel yours.
