Thanks, but I was asking about the "bracelet."
And thank DTB for the repost. I thought I saw it somewhere. Not sure of why some folks have some angst about this though. I'm just hoping that most of it functions without hiccups.
I'm very much looking forward to it, and if they've got a pretty bracelet to put it on/in I'll buy it.

British baked beans taste different to US baked beans.

Absolutely, they have got to be Heinz beans. I buy them by the case.

Spotted dick
Laverbread
Stargazer pie
Jellied eel
Black pudding
Haggis
Beans on toast
Boring, bland, boiled
Olive Loaf
Jello Salad
Scrapple
Chitterlings
Etc., etc.
There are awful foods everywhere. You sound like you're 12.
Beans on toast is my favorite comfort food, and I'm guessing you don't know what spotted dick is.

I'm well aware of that, but Brian1 stated that no one eats them. If that's the case why still offer them.

I'm a little confused...Oct. 21 is still 84 days away, so if this is truly a big deal to you, would you cancel? You do have time.
It's not a big enough deal for me to cancel the cruise. I'm still looking forward to it.

The egg might actually be OK if it were baked but I'm guessing it's deep fried. :(
Yes, they are usually deep fried. I think it's also the quality of the sausage used.

I always leave them in the cabin. I do the same in a hotel. Seeing dirty dishes in the hallway is gross.

Dear sp2
As dtb55 stated one of the port of calls change is from Colon to Cristobal, which is no big deal but we are getting shorted in Cartagena, from 8 hours in port to 6 hours. Time is of the essence.
And we were made aware of the itinerary change after it was paid.
If you go to Wikipedia and do a search on the Carribean Princess you'll find this ship has had it share of problems and propulsion issues seem to be a repeated topic
This is true, losing 2 hours in Cartagena is a big deal. I had planned to spend the day on the hop on/hop off bus. I'll have to watch my time now.

I've generally enjoyed the fish and chips, but on the Grand this past September they were awful, and the Scotch Egg was really gross.

Just received notice of itinerary change for our October 21 to Panama on the Carribean Princess. To think Princess has been aware of a technical issue since June and will not take action to correct it , is mind boggling! Instead the customer, the paying customer is paying the price. Sure they are giving us $100 on board credit, big deal, how sincere:mad:!
Dear fellow cruisers take action and call Princess and voice your displeasure. Tell them you signed up for and paid for a product for which your truly not going to receive.
I understand if mother nature got involved and a hurricane made the decision of our itinerary change instead of a technical issue. The unwillingness of Princess to remedy this issue is disturbing.
So far they are minor time changes that don't affect the itinerary much, with one port change: Colon to Cristobal (both equally unimpressive). I don't see it as a big deal, although they will have to correct some excursion times. We'll see if any more changes occur closer to the sailing date.
Is the OBC per cabin or per person? I haven't heard from my TA yet.

Proper mushy peas are made from marrowfat peas. My mother would cook them with some mint and lemon juice and boil them till they just started to fall apart and get mushy.
Thanks. I couldn't remember the type of pea.

They're just mushed down. Correct?
Do they do anything special to them?
Depends, usually with butter, salt and pepper, and a little milk, but some put a little sugar or mint or lemon juice in theirs. They are made from a specific type of pea.
I'm sure everyone has their own way of making them.

What's up with the mashed peas.
Is it a big custom in the UK.
I don't see the attraction except that they might be easier to get on the fork.
Actually, they're mushed. [emoji16] I love mushy peas.

Just because someone speaks of an negative experience doesn't mean it's rude. That is all the poster was saying. He was talking about his experience in England.
Yes, and it's my experience that comments like his are rude. My DH thanks you for the laugh, though.

So what, they are just giving their opinion. Maybe their experience in England was just as bad as the ship's I have heard a lot of people complain about the food in England. We had the pub lunch one and I will not go back again. Just not my tasted and I like fish and chips. The fish was soggy and I can get better French Fries anywhere.
It is possible to get a point across without being rude.

This happened to my son once. As stated above, the porter had a list of cabin assignments and gave him a luggage tag.

I don't really care about the color of the case & would gladly trade my black elite case for a bright color such as neon green to hopefully locate it more easily. ;p
Hot pink for me.

So wannabe Elites will get theirs in black in the hope they can fool people? ;p
Wow!

I was under the impression it came with a wristband, but if not, I will purchase one. I don't carry a purse on the ship so would prefer to wear the medallion on my wrist rather than in my pocket. I'd pay $20-25.

Haha! Why not!

Yes, it was a total waste of money because it was raining and we couldn't use the chairs, the blankets were soaked and it was hard to see through the glass. We ended up going to a covered deck. Maybe on a clear day it would be ok, but I'll never book it again for the one day.
