  1. Everyday you can get choc chip cookies for dessert in main dining room at dinner.

Also, those that play alot in the casino will have nice fresh large cookies delivered to their cabin one day, compliments of the casino. (2 macadamian, 2 choc chip & 2 oatmeals.)

Bring zip lock bags to put in right away & keep fresh.

  2. We also just got off 9 nite Splendor, and always get the Bounceback offers the last nite. Casino host said it will be at cabin mailbox about 2 or 3am departure am-but nothing there! Do see that offer O1V in our offers online-not good.

  3. Hubs got his back right away. We had our pics done at Walgreens before I read applic. I got a letter saying to redo-no glasses (& no smile allowed in pic).

This was changed in Nov '2016. Walgreens guy or no one else knew about this. He didnt charge me for 2nd pic without my glasses & with no smile.

  4. Didnt read the applic first & had our pics done at Walgreens. Hubs got his back very soon, I got a letter saying redo pic-no glasses allowed in pic (& no smile).

Walgreens & others didnt know about this. It was changed Nov2016-no glasses & no smile.

  5. On carnival & royal they are now giving more points & better offers to those that do slots. My husband was only doing poker tables, but now does a mix of slots, poker & craps. The Carnival bb's we've gotten before this year, you could pick any length & any ship. This year, it's gone to 3 months or less out & their selection of mostly 3 &4 niters. But they've had great premier offers the 1st half of 2017. Did 2 carnivals in June, got bb's & was only very lucky to get a 6 niter, & then a 7 niter in Sept. Wont do 3 or 4 any more either.

  6. Yes, now they are giving BB letters, the last nite, even if you have cruises booked.

We got in April, May & June.

But they have changed the BB available cruises to about 3 months out, & only specific ones-same for everyone to choose from. (Even though the letter says 6 months).

In 2016 & earlier. it was so easy-you could pick any sailing & most were open. But back then, if you had a future cruise booked, you would not get a BB letter.

  7. Check your email if you have a recent bb you did not use. Casino sent out emails to many of us with unused bbs yesterday that showed a couple sailings that were not open 2 days ago. Thinking they might be getting tired of hearing nothing available worth taking and are opening additional sailings to bb people. Unfortunately offer is not showing up online for me so have to call Monday after 10am to see if there really is something worth taking.

Didnt get the email, thanks for letting us know. We have an active BB(One week old now).So I called casino # on the BB offer today. She told me whatever is on our offer calender is the same they have & everyone else has.

(Why are you waiting till Mon. Casino phone # is even open on Sun till 12 midnite.)

But most are 3 nite thru Oct only, Longer ones from Texas, San Juan, Baltimore, etc. Very few from Fla. There is even one in Dec- 2 nites out of LA!!!! What a joke.

Used to be so easy on Carnival, we did many in the last 3 years, where we picked a ship-no problem with the BB offer. We do Royal also, & have gotten good offers from their casino.

  8. The Bounce Back letter is much harder to use this year. Cant pick your own cruises any more. Its only what they have open on your deal calender, and only have 3 or 4 months open(not 6). Also very limited as to embarkation port, & amount of days-mostly 3 or 4!!!! We have one from May, that we couldnt use, & still have one more week, for another one-nothing good out there!

  9. We were on different carnival ships in April, May & June & they still are rating the table play, starting with the drink card, steakhouse dinner, etc & ending in the Bounce Back letter.

  10. We were also on the Victory May15-19 & had a great time. Cruise alot on Carnival but first time on Victory. We had a very nice newly renovated inside cabin on deck 8. Decorated like the Breeze & newer Sunshine cabins. It did have a refrigerator-but it was hiding in one of the closets!! Not a problem, cause I always put the suitcases, life jackets, room guy's plastic bag of extra sheets all under the beds, to make more room in the closets. Nice new flat TV & you can check your carnival onboard statement on it, no menus though. Did find the main cabin lights to be much too bright, so we used the mirror & beds lites instead. Need any card to put in slot for lights to work in cabin, like the newer ships & hotels in Europe. I just bring an old carnival roomkey card, or use our aarp card. (Dont want to forget to take out our current room key card from room & get locked out)

Buffets lines very long, esp first day, because there are not as many choices for lunch as other carnivals. Deli & china spot were shorter on first day (no mongolian wok, or mexican or guy fieri burgers) Extra seating on deck10, but no food up there like other ships. No steak house, etc. but do have steakhouse entrees for $20 on dinner menu. We were compted one nite by casino, & I believe that they helicoptered in the delicious steak from a ship with the steakhouse(only kidding)-tasted the same & so so good.

All the staff were wonderful & friendly. Still have real bands at the shows(not the taped music with the digital back screens. The Music Power band by the casino was the best, played there every nite till late. Dont miss the fun singalong trivias at nite with the cruise director.

  11. Also, did not like promenade deck 5 on Vista. Boring walk between atrium in front & ocean plaza towards back. Only pass the specialty restaurants, coffee shop , photo area. Casino is now on deck 4, so there is no bar & nearby band & dance floor on deck 5.

No hot tubs outside on deck 5, like they have on Magic & Breeze.

Very small theatre (liquid lounge), and views on balcony arent good. No tier seating & big posts in way.

  12. We were also on that cruise. Nice quiet room on deck 4, but got cold when they used deck 4 for exiting at the ports. We were near the computer stations there.

Yes, mid elevators were horrible. Sometimes, got on going down, just to go up. Later, I just walked a bit further to the front elevators(by the showroom , spa, etc.) Those were always so fast & hardly used !!

We got tubes of shampoo, cond, gel & real nice lotions each day!!Found out it was because we are diamond. Never before did we get those on any other cruise! must be something new.

    Yes, loved Brugge & Amsterdam.

Went to Waterford crystal showroom & factory-great excursion, but too far.

2 hrs each way by bus.

  13. Just came off the Conquest(first time on it). Been on the other Conquest class ships, & the Breeze 2X.

This one is the oldest of the bunch, and we were disapointed that the Serenity decks were not put in on it, also no Mongolian Wok.

Felt the buffet lunch, guys burger, etc. hrs were very short on port days-only open 12-2pm,all the other ones we've been on, are open 12-3:30 .

At that time, they did open a hot dog/bratwurst small buffet instead-not the same-many were upset.

But as with all -Excellent food & service.

Luv the Breeze though-has much more & newer, has barbeque & italian places no extra cost at lunch, & a wonderful cruise director MATT!!
