Just returned from a wonderful Oasis cruise and we boarded just before 11, were in our rooms just before 1, and had our luggage earlier than any other cruise.:)
Thanks, you boarded at 11am? Did you arrive at the port to begin the check-in process at about 10am? Lines? Traffic? we are staying in a local hotel and plan on taking a cab to Terminal 18, drop our bags and begin our check-in as soon as we can. I don't care if I have to sit in the Terminal I just want to be there ready to board.

Hi Dianco, Sorry no photos but just stayed in 12636, one floor below. The bathroom and closets are your typical JS size and configuration, however, the balcony was much larger. Almost double in depth. There were two lounges, two chairs and a table. Really nice. You will be pleased, I think!
Thanks for the info. Yes, we decided upon the JS on the "hump" because of the noted balcony depth/expansion.

Thanks SetSail I have Googled and looked at the video's. I was just trying to inquire if some Cruise Critic members who may have been in that actual cabin could share any of their own photos.

Thanks CB but I was wondering if there was someone out there that has stayed in that cabin that can offer detailed views of the closet, the bathoom, balcony etc etc....

JS -14636 Junior Suite w/Balcony
Has anyone stayed on the "hump" in this cabin? If so I would love to see any personal photos of the room layout that you might have. The stock photos online are "junk" in my opinion.

Question: How early do they beglin allowing you to check in and board on the Saturday departures from FLL (Ft. Lauderdale) on Oasis of the Seas. How "early" is early check in (arrival at the port) to begin the boarding process? 10am?

Where did Leigh Xuereb go? He was with Explorer before the drydock (when he had his sidekick "Erky"). Where is he now?

Does anybody have a PDF version of the table/seating map for the Da Gama dining room on EOS?

Spin Class on EOS question. Folks my wife would like to continue to take her spin classes in the gym aboard EOS if the cycles and the classes are offered. Anybody have any experience with the bikes they have aboard? She wAnts to know if the peddles are the kind that accept spin shoes (kind with the clips)?

Thanks. If "Chop's" is not offered as a speciality restaurant on Explorer then I guess the $14.95 NY Strip will have to do. Seems a bit steep though.

Can anyone who has recently cruised on Explorer of the Seas or any other Royal ship for that matter run into certain entree's they offer for an additional surcharge. If so what entree's or special food items are we talking about. Looking to learn four upcoming cruise.

Hey there Explorer cruisers. Can any provide a detailed price listing of drinks on EOS? I'm not interested in the unlimited packages but would like to see if there is a detailed listing out there that may have been captured on other board's or roll calls. By detailed I'm looking at by brand, type of beer etc. Not interested in wine prices per se as I have purchased a wine bottle package. For example a Bacardi & Coke is $8.00 (plus 15%), pina colada is $10.00 etc
I have a listing of the “brands” they serve on the ship just not the specific charged “cost”….any help?

The Christmas decorations will ALL be down by a 1/5/2014 cruise departure for sure.

Oh so the correct term is "insulated bag" and NOT "beer bag" as has been posted. I couldn't figure out what the heck the fuss was over beer bag, never heard of it before.
-
What the heck us a "beer bag"?
-
That's the thing. I'm hearing that recently others who have sailed on Explorer just placed a case of water with their checked bags. Out in the open the porter slapped a cabin sticker on it and it was delivered to their cabin.

I've heard that Royal allows guests to check in a "factory sealed" case it bottled water tat can be delivered to your cabin. Anyone heard of this?

We are leaving in 2 weeks and we have an ocean view forward room 9502. I can post when i get back.
I understand that you were in 9502 on Explorer. How was it? Recommendations? Did she have plugs near the bed? Can you post some photos? Thanks!

Thanks BobK for the report. No sense trying to check-in well before 10am as all you ar going to do is "sit" in the waiting to board lounge longer.....
