  1. we have Gr Turk scheduled for Nov 29, 2022. I have not gotten anything about a change in itinerary- so I am assuming yes, we will stop there.
  2. Yes when I am addicted to a certain thing that is unavailable on the ship. The struggle is real. LOL
  3. This is an area where Carnival & HAL differ. On Carnival, if you are to reach the next loyalty level while on a cruise, you are considered the higher loyalty level at the beginning of that cruise.
  4. I have the same issue with my Dr Pepper. Carnival switched to Pepsi products, no longer carry a suitable alternative. HAL does have Coke products & I can sometimes get the inferior Mr Pibb.
  5. Not a snack, but I have brought on my favorite creamer & cappuccino powder. I think if those were allowed, so would non alcoholic snacks.
  6. looking forward to trying that. Our last HAL cruise didn't have a G Dutch cafe & Explorations was too far away from our cabin to be convenient in the mornings. I don't remember seeing an espresso machine on Lido, but perhaps I just missed it. Thanks for the tip.
  7. Agree, my thoughts exactly. I will go to guest services once on board & ask how to order the floral arrangements.
  8. Really?, will have to check that out. As others are saying, it is my understanding that SBP signature beverage pkg does include Grand Dutch cafe, explorations cafe & anything under $11 in Pinnacle. I am not an alcohol drinker, so having these non alcoholic beverages is why we bought the pkg.
  9. I agree w/ Florida_gal_50. Those are gorgeous. All the flowers depicted here in this post are lovely. Now to get DH to order some. Thanks
  10. Yes HAL's policy is different than Carnival's. But Carnival charges more for their pkg than HAL does. Since the HIA pkg includes a shore x credit, specialty dining credit, wifi & up to 15 drinks under $11 per drink. I am not familiar with other cruise lines pkgs, but HAL's pkg seems fair/reasonable to me. I am familiar with Carnival's drink pkg- non alcoholic beverages do not count toward your 15 drinks & the allowable price per drink is higher than HAL's. Last I checked Carnival was selling the drink pkg for about $56 per day & doesn't include the other things HAL's includes.
  11. so I am reading this varies from ship to ship, cruise to cruise. Any recent floral purchases from N Statendam? How was it? We have a bit of OBC to spend & thought that would be a nice way of spending it. I think I would just like an inexpensive mixed arrangement for our cabin.
  12. Here's hoping for minimal damage & no human injury.
  13. Oh wow. We need 7 more points to reach next star level after we add 14 days total on board the ship. So we might reach that next level by the end of the 14 days, because we have HIA for both cruises + $200 OBC per person for each cruise. So we will most likely spend at least $2200 over the 14 days on board. Thank you for clarification.
  14. Wouldn't that be divided between the 2 occupants? HIA was $700 for the both of us per 7 day cruise. And yes only 2 occupants are in cabin with no additional. That's why I only gave ea of us $350 credit. Thanks
  15. Thank you Bethcb, we have the HIA for Upcoming B2B, and some OBC to spend. So at least 2 bonus mariner credits each.
  16. So would the HIA pkg count toward mariner credits? I am assuming it is a per person Mariner credit. Example: 7 day cruise- HIA is $350 pp- so does this equal 1 Mariner credit per person? The other question: do the purchases we make with OBC also count toward Mariner credit? Money spent in casino? I ask this because we are a couple of points away from reaching the next star level.
  17. For this reason, we usually book ship sponsored tours when at tender ports. HMC has very large tender boats to take people over & it went very quickly w/o tender tickets.
  18. We have a B2B booked for 11/26 & 12/3. Both cruises originally had Key West, now only 1 does. I have read that it depends on how many ships are docking there. KW only wants 1 ship per day. We were notified in a timely manner of the change though. Disappointed, sure. But we will go with the flow. I do wish HAL & other lines would quit putting it on the itineraries though. On our 21 day through the canal in Oct 2021, a few of our ports got canceled & others changed. It is a sign of the times. We were disappointed in changes to itinerary, but made the best of it.
  19. Yes, it would be nice to have this confirmed. Also the rumors that SBP might start covering HMC drinks would be nice too, but just wishful thinking
  20. We were scheduled to sail out of Galveston a few yrs ago when fog kept our ship from coming back in. They did get in the same day, but much later than scheduled. We boarded ship around 8-9PM. I am just happy they try to keep us safe while at sea. Hope everyone is safe & the storm blows over quickly.
  21. how will this affect those on the ships at this time? Will ships off load at another port?
  22. And having mostly hubby & myself as company. On every ship we have sailed, we always meet interesting people & have a great time.
  23. I guess I have been lucky, was only shut out for a couple of hours that I know of. Didn't realize others were shut out so long.
