The acronym is HIPAA, not HIPPA. Our HIPAA laws relate to healthcare settings, and nothing else.

    Sorry for the typo.

our HIPAA laws also include the disclosure (or lack thereof) of private health care information!!

According to what you have said your sources say, my answer will be your understanding is correct.

My information sources are based on evolving science. Just sayin'.

Evolving to fit the agenda of controlling the sheep.

Do Americans have no yellow WHO-vac passport?

No, socialism has not yet been established here? We still have free will for now. Plus the fact that our Hippa laws still give us a certain amount of privacy.

OR.....the reading and the research this person has done is from those sites that misinform with conspiracy theories.

So, if my understandings don’t align with yours you just poo poo it off to conspiracy theories.

How frequently has your information source changed their stance? Mine has held steadfast from the beginning. Just sayin’.

You actually have substantially less immunity. And your immunity will decrease more rapidly over time.

Not according to my medical friends. I had the virus and am still testing positive for antibodies.

  6. I wish NCL all the luck in the world with their stance on 100% vaccinated passengers.

Firstly, how are they going to verify the so called vaccination cards are not counterfeit?

Secondly, Our wonderful governor has signed an order that fines any business operating in Florida that requires vaccination to participate.

Lastly,  when are they going to accept people that have natural antibodies from the actual disease.  My antibodies give me more protection than your vaccination since mine were acquired from actual contact with the virus.  Whereas your vaccination is a gene therapy that simulates your "brush" with the virus.

What a nice reaction on someone who was willing to help you with your question? Nobody can tell you for 100% where your ship will dock since you didn't give any information: ship? date?...

Just a logical reaction to the offering of a link that takes to another site rather than just saying downtown pier.

As for which ship and date, generally each line docks in the same place for their season.  I have been to Cozumel many times aboard NCL and have always docked downtown. I always see Royal and Carnival out at the International Pier.

There is no reason to be a jerk. It was a question! I have sailed in the haven 5+ times and the royal suite class 8+ times. My mother doesn't want to come but I'm trying to figure out how to get my 12 year old with us since she can't sail in the same room as us. Didn't exactly want to pay for two MSC Yacht Club Royal Suites because of a 12 year old. Royal Caribbean has aloud us to book the royal suite and inside cabin for the teen and had no problems with her coming on board with us and going to the suite area.

Not being a jerk just responding to an often asked question much the same way a few others responded to you. Yet, you felt the need to call me a jerk and none of the others.

Oh well, it is some peoples nature to see what they can get away with because they are so special.

  9. I am just curious as to how they are going to verify a passengers vaccination status? With that little card the give you when you get your vaccination?

This is all the CDC's last grasp of their control over things they should not be involved in.

Lol, are you really saying that you think Miami is ready when the Mayor just declared a state of emergency, issued a curfew and the police are clashing with crowds to get them to disperse less than seven miles from Miami cruise terminal?

If people in Florida worked half as hard to stop the spread and get vaccinated as they do complaining about the pandemic and wanting to return to normal they'd be a lot closer to that goal.

Firstly, the Miami Beach issue is a Spring Break issue involving a lot of people from outside of Florida.

Secondly, Floridas numbers are on the lower end of the infection scales and we have not been locked down for months.  Our Governor trusts that we are adults and act accordingly and it has worked.

Thirdly,  You seem to be incredibly fearful of catching a virus that you have to be tested for to find out you have it and once you get it it is 99.97% survivable.  Now, if you have certain comorbidities that make you susceptible to not surviving the virus then by all means stay away from large gatherings and wear a mask in public.  But, please stop spreading your sky is falling rhetoric and demanding that the rest of the world be locked down and not get back to a normal life.

Cities like Miami can think they're ready for cruising to resume but events like this give me a lot of doubt about the feasibility.

Why would the CDC think it was safe to have tens of thousands of travelers visit cities in Florida to then hop on board floating cities with destinations throughout the Caribbean? They might as well just load up the ships with plague rats and aim them at Nassau.

Then I would suggest you not cruise.

  12. I just did a fake booking on MSC and they are not gouging.  Their pricing is very much the same as usual.  Oh, and they were very generous with FCC's when they canceled cruises.  I  know, because I had one canceled and they gave me 125% FCC and it more than covered a rebooking for next year and they put the balance as onboard credit.

My NCL cruise that was canceled (actuall suppose to start today) was given a refund and a 10% off coupon.  Cruises that were cancel for October were given 125% FCC's.

  13. We were supposed to setting sail today on the Jade for 14 days. We had a mini suite at a little less than $5.000.00 including beverage and dining packages.

I just priced out a similar cruise setting sail on February 1, 2021. It is a 13 day cruise with the same ports of call.  The price is $7,742.18 including beverage and dining packages.  Oh, and with the 30% off promotion going on we saved $2,909.00.  So without the promotion the price would have been $10651.18. That is just crazy for a non suite cabin.

NCL may be pricing themselves out of the market.

The NY Times article cited by previous poster reports that their dock has electric plug in capacity for the ships, but most are not using that and instead burning diesel all day long, perhaps to avoid electric charges. The city’s effort to avoid this pollution seems like something the cruise lines should be working with.  They don’t have a great reputation on environmental care.

At what cost to the cruise lines? Very prohibitive I would guess.
