  1. Hello - does Azamara hold luggage until check-in time on embarkation day? If there are hours between flight landing and check-in, is this possible? Thank you
  2. Anyone know if they have vegan pancakes, waffles, or french toast?
  3. OK, thanks. I should of added that I have only been looking at 7 day non-caribbean cruises. Wanted to see if there is truly a deep discount with these rates.
  4. I've been on VV site for the past few weeks pricing sailings. I have yet to see a Lock it In rate. Do these normally appear for last minute sailings or when sailings are newly released? If you need to cancel, can your reservation and payments be moved to another sailing?
  5. For those on full (or nearly full) sailings who are trying to sort their schedules, I understand they may be tied to the app due to event changes or openings and trying to sort dinner - especially if you are a group over 2 people. Not everyone gets their dining sorted or even access to the restaurants they desire. It's a constant "check back" or try "stand by". A bit exhausting for the higher VV sailing prices in my opinion.
  6. I can tell this is becoming an issue and hope it is considered. If food is one of the main reasons one may choose VV, the dining issue will need to be assessed.
  7. Absolutely, agree with this. It shouldn't be stressful nor time consuming to partake in what you paid for. This has to be frustrating, especially if you already had to jump through hoops to get your dinner reservations. One thing about VV that has already turned me off is that your almost forcing me to be tied to my phone. I want to disconnect from technology and the screen time. I guess there's no checking the phone once per day like other cruises.
  8. Ummm...sure. Just waiting to hear from those whom have experienced it. I'm sure there are some who would give it a go for free.
  9. We anticipate our sailing to be sold out as well. The Insider Social will have to make due on such a short sailing.
  10. Hi - yes, we are seasoned travelers and understand the importance of cabin selection. However, hearing from those who have actually stayed in this location makes a difference in assessing and preparing ourselves. It may be horrible or it may be perfectly ok. Though cabins may be located in an "undesirable " location, does not always equate to a "bad" cabin in reality. You hear this often from those who choose a "guaranteed cabin". They anticipate noise and they report back it was quiet and or minimal issues. Thanks again for feedback.
  11. Any updates from folks who have actually stayed in this cabin category in the recent year on any of the ships? Is the the noise level truly unbearable? Any tips or recommendations for this area? Thanks
  12. @aqlollipop we are currently under 8. I'm trying to get more to book. All the cheap cabins are sold out or unavailable now (I warned them not to wait). Trying to convince folks to book with high airfare these days is a bit of a challenge .
  13. @aqlollipop Your information is fantastic - thank you! 1. I did not realize the app has different information from the website! I have been solely on the website account and did not realize we were able to book our embarkation. Though we are months out - we are booked for 1:45 - THANK YOU! 2. I will work with the travel agent to get our group dinners booked. As it is a holiday sailing, some of these dinners are very important to us, and I want to ensure this is ready and announced to the group so they can plan their days accordingly. 3. I will have my piece of paper ready for boarding day with all the dining reservations just like you - great idea. I so hope you are right about this, or it holds true for the holidays of 2024. Again, thank you for taking the time to respond to my post. I am saving and sharing your info with our travel agent to ensure we are on top of everything. I hope VV does not disappoint our group.
  14. For the Social Insider- Can they make the 2 bottom beds as one double or must it stay as two twins? I wonder why the Social Insider is cheaper for 2 adults than the regular double Insider.
  15. This is good to know scubagal44! Thank you for helping to eliminate my concerns and doubts about VV. Yes, I did book through a TA. As a small group leader who will all be sailing VV for the first time, I don't want others disappointed or frustrated in my choice to go with Virgin Voyages.

  17. Thank you for the feedback. Again, as a soon-to-be new VV cruiser, the information I am reading and viewing about the app and reservations concerns me - especially during holiday cruises. Vacation/Holiday time is precious, and the last thing one wants to do is spend time trying to figure out how to get reservations or having to "divide and conquer" app reservations in our group just to ensure we get decent reservations and the ability to see all of the shows that everyone has been speaking highly about.
  18. Yes, I am aware of the standby. But recent reviews and videos from FULL ships have noted that people were being turned away from standby and that reservations were sometimes full before later embarkation people got onboard - even to try to make dinner reservations at a regular time (i.e., no 10 PM dinner seating). Though my experience has really only been with Windstar and Azamara, late embarkation is something we tend to enjoy. We are never in a hurry to get onboard, nor do we feel pressured to get onboard as soon as possible to try to secure reservations and events. It seems somewhat strategic by VV to make you board ASAP to begin spending. Just my observation.
  19. I just watched a detailed YouTube video regarding the issues with a full VV ship. It wasn't pretty. Apparently the ship services becomes strained once you near the 2k mark. Not having reservations or being required to have reservations for almost everything onboard sounds exhausting to me. I understand the need for crowd control and all for it. But the over reliance to reserve everything to enjoy your cruise does not sit well with me. If you can't get reservations or get in via standby, what's the purpose?
  20. I agree with this. I'm one of those odd people that likes to disconnect from my phone on vacations such as a cruise. Having to battle and figure out reservations along with constantly being connected to your phone feels a bit counter productive.
  21. Thank you for sharing your experiences. We haven't heard much about holiday sailings.
  22. I agree, for the ports offered, prices need to decrease.
