  1. We were last on Equinox in Feb. 2020 in concierge cabin. They had already "revolutionized:" and removed the footstools.  They did, at least, have the nicer reclining chairs still and the small table replaced the larger ones.  My mom was in Aqua and she did not have footstools either. She had the same chairs/table  we did but did have loungers because she was on the slanted hump where the balcony is large.  I doubt they would add footstools back on this dry dock but that would be nice. Still better than the chairs on E class. We were on the Eclipse back in 2022 and were so happy the old furniture was still on our balcony and spent the whole week out there (Alaska) 🙂

  2. According to the website they have "bottled and canned juices". Bars may not all have the same stocked at any given time. Bars will always have juices that they use to make cocktails. My sister always gets cranberry and seltzer with lime from bars.    I cannot remember which types of juice I have seen.  I usually get some orange juice from the bar at the Ocean View. The Ocean View (buffet) bar is open long hours and usually well stocked. They also have the self serve beverage stations that have juices 24/7.  I have never had luck with smoothies at the Spa Cafe. They are usually watery or not well blended and not cold enough.  It really depends on who makes it though. I have altered what was on the menu with some luck. I like the fresh pressed juices much better.  The purple rain is delicious .

When we were on the Beyond in Feb Capt Kate made an evacuation around midnight. She came on the speaker into the staterooms to announce it. Something she rarely does that late at night.  We saw the helicopter lights off our veranda on the aft before the announcement was made.  She said the Beyond’s helicopter pad is too small. They did the evacuation off the side of the ship. Probably the lawn Club.

We were on this sailing too.  Saw it from up by OceanView. They used the Retreat Sundeck, I believe because there was more room/favorable conditions there.

Unless Celebrity has totally changed the Cafe al Bacio menu, there used to be Irish Coffee, Cafe Ole, Cafe Kingston and lots more.

    This is an older picture.

We just got off the last Beyond sailing and they had new coffee/alcohol drinks and this page was gone.  My husband asked and was told any of the above can still be made because they have all the ingredients,  He ordered the Aspen a few times with no problem.

  5. Our sons always stay in a different cabin than us, but we book the all included for everyone and they get the Classic Non-alcoholic Drink Package and the basic Wifi. If your children are in your cabin, I believe you have to purchase all included for everyone and anyone under 21 yrs old gets the Classic Non-Alcholic Package but things change often.  I would ask Celebrity or your travel agent  to confirm one way or another so you can pre-purchase drink package if you really want it.

  6. I also agree that Taormina (use ship "excursion" for transportation there ) is well worth a visit.  Same with Pompeii (we had private guide and driver through Stefano Rome Cabs and they are fantastic-have used them many times) Also went to Sorrento same day.  We did Positano, Sorrento and Pompeii first time but you don't get much time in Positano because its such a long drive.

Don't miss sail in and out to Kotor.  It is absolutely gorgeous and worth being up early for.  Lovely town to explore on your own too.

We used Olden Adventure when we were there in June. They has busses going to the glacier or sky lift or even both places along with Troll Car ad ons at the glacier available.

Just curious, how far in advance did you book with them? We are going next July and it looks like no one is taking reservations for next summer yet.

  8. We were on Beyond 2 months ago for 9 nights. We had previously been on for 5 nights in November and Apex for a week in January, just for context.  We thought the food quality was better on our most recent cruise.  I will add that they did have a little less selection in the MDRs than on our previous 2 cruises. There were still choices for everyone in our group of 7 but we did notice some missing choices. One weird note is that we had to ask for bread in the MDRs each night or we did not get it. Server the first night said something about not wasting food. So we just asked each night and got bread baskets at our table.  We went to Eden and Rooftop and those were both consistently good as past cruises. The buffet was close to the same as best we could tell. Still a lot of choices and plenty of vegetables and healthy choices too.

I will also say Apex still had the best food of the last 3 cruises IMO  but I am guessing they have made changes too. We are not thrilled by the changes and hope they work it out a bit better. They are not lowering cruise prices and should be providing a level of quality to reflect that.   We are still booked for Beyond early nest year since we  love the new Edge class ships.

  9. The Celebrity app is very helpful. It will have hours and menus to view for each venue.  It even has a feature under dining that says "hungry now" so you can see what your options are at any time.  The daily paper you receive each night will also post all options for the next day.  You do not need reservations for the 4 "main" dining rooms.  Just show up at the podium when hungry.  During breakfast/lunch you will have many options (most included but some extra) .Eden Cafe, Spa Cafe, Ocean View (buffet), Mast Grill etc.  On embarkation day you can usually go to Spa Cafe, Ocean View or Mast Grill.  Possibly Eden Cafe as well.  Bistro is open for lunch usually as well but for an extra charge.

For those of you on board now. When did you get your cruise cards?  We’re they on your door?  How early were you able to access your room to get the cards?  Wondering as you need them to order any drinks for lunch!!!  Please inform us anxious folks following in your footsteps after you.

You don't need the cards for drinks for lunch.. They just ask for your cabin number.

  11. They do have “everyday” menu items like steak and chicken. They will even, for example, make you a larger salad and put grilled chicken on it. Also, my sister is allergic to mushrooms  and she never has an issue. She just lets them know she can’t have them. If they’re unsure, they check with the kitchen. If you have any requests or dietary needs they really try to make you happy. No worries.

  12. Look on the deck map.  A cabin with a little black box holds 3 people and the bed will always be closer to the closet/bathrrom. On solstice class they generally go back and forth with bed by bath to bed by balcony.  We have been on all but the Solstice and like our bed by balcony.  This has always worked for us.  With an Aqua Class just look for a purple (concierge) and start counting from there since Aqua don't have triple occupancy but are same alternating  configurations.

  13. Yes, but make sure you have something to prop it up on because you will need both hands to unseal the package in front of them as well as opening the components of the test.  Then you have to leave the test, untouched, on the table with the camera on it for 15 minutes until the results are ready.

Can you give us more information about the "deal or not deal"

We played recently on the Silhouette.  You buy a card or set of 3 ahead of the game time, and a person is randomly picked by computer at the start. After that round a second person is picked to play another round. The game is done on a screen with the person choosing which cases  to open and a banker makes an offer just like on television.  You use the same game card for both games. People in audience open windows on the card that match the amount on cases opened.  My husband won $15 in casino money because of a few matches. Then after 2 rounds a third person is picked and they spin a wheel. There are different prizes with the biggest being a free cruise.  A woman won the free cruise when we played. I believe it was about $40-$49 (?) for the 3 cards.
