  1. Have cruised both and each have their good and bad points. I am comparing two Hawaiian cruises, each 15 and 16 day trips.

I found Carnival has better MDR food, more buffet choices, larger balcony rooms, especially larger showers, and overall much more livelier.

Princess has wonderful entertainment with live bands, more subdued clientele and you are not constantly hounded by photographers. The International Cafe is a great place for a midnight snack. The specialty restaurants are very nice.

Both have wonderful and friendly staff. We had full service on both cruises but true no towel animals on Princess but you do get a little chocolate on your pillow. Internet and daily information about the same. Less announcements on Princess. Both had tablecloths in MDR and dancing only on last evening.

Carnival has a hairy leg contest and Princess had a hairy chest contest. I didn’t attend either one. Ha ha.

    Loved both cruises.

Just my opinion trying to compare two similar cruises.

  2. We were boarding the Miracle. My DH had his cowboy gear on along with his, what I call, his 10-gallon hat. He loves that hat and it rarely is left behind. A young woman congratulated him and handed him a ship on a stick. I was like ...wait, wait, why? She said he was the hundred person to come onboard!! We are Platinum and were about 30th in line! I still call him a cheater on that one. [emoji23][emoji23]

  3. Yes they do offer this tour. You are sailing on a ship that has, Tracy Arm on the itinerary? https://www.princess.com/excursion/exDetails.page?t=A&exType=S&tourCode=TA1-660

Thank you Budget Queen but so far it isn’t being offered on my sailing. August 24 from San Francisco. Perhaps because they sail Tracy only a half day. I didn’t notice the time when I booked. Hopefully they may add it later. I need to be more observant when booking princess as they tend to have strange or shortened hours in some ports compared to other cruise lines.
