I’m going against the popular opinion but I didn’t like Crowne Plaza a few weeks ago. Old and musty and I got an upgraded room per lady checking me in. In its favor the location is great and so is the breakfast buffet. Everyone on the staff was very nice.

Amen. I tried a TA that was “highly “ recommended. What a disaster, paid way too much because of it among other issues. Never again.

I took the transfer last year. I live locally and took an Uber to airport to catch it. It was so disorganized. Never again. This year taking a car service to the port. More expensive but more relaxing and less stressful.

I fly United and they go to T2 but that’s good to know about T5

Having the Princess shuttle door to door sounds the easiest for me. There is a Hilton attached to T2 that I stayed in 2022. I like the idea of staying there and walking back to the terminal the next day. I have 2 trips out of Southampton next year. The 2nd one I’ll stay a few days in London the day before and use International Friends. They were great pre and post cruise last time. I am about convenience even if it costs more

What are the pick up points at LHR? Thinking of flying in the day before and booking hotel at LHR.

For those who follow Ben and David on YouTube they had one of these cabins on a P&O ship and weren’t happy either with the lack of privacy etc

I have yet to sail on HAL but was looking for 2025 cruises that are not found on their site, but on other search engine sites, such as cruise critic, I can find all these cruises that don't exist on their site. Came here to see if there was a website issue and apparently there is.

I'm leaving from Athens so not as easy and I'm traveling solo.

Can you pre purchase a case of water to be delivered to your cabin? I looked in my planner and couldn't find anything? Drink package is very expensive for my cruise so not worth buying that. Thanks

I’m on board currently. Entertainment is outstanding but get to theatre early. The shows are all wonderful but standing room only. The bands and other musicians are terrific. Cruise director and team are doing a great job. Planks and Steamers are open. We have Plus and tried both. Steamers was better than Planks and if you have them included it’s worth trying both. Enjoyed Crown Grill enough we went 2x. MDR has been mostly very good. A couple of misses. Crew is fantastic as always. AC is working fine on Deck 11 Aft. I haven’t noticed issues anywhere else.

I’m booked next year for a land/cruise tour. How do you book excursions for the land part and how do you upgrade to the Tundra tour?

I stayed at Playa Catalunya. Very close to La Rambla. I would stay here again. Even had a nice pool deck and a bar with a decent food menu. Breakfast was a nice selection too.
