That's a good point. I went to Hawaii last Sept. This year in Jan my hubby got covid and got tested at Walgreens, the same place I did for Hawaii. He got his results the next day about 12 hrs later.

I know the difference is a few hours, but last time I flew to Hawaii and took a covid test 3 days before. I didn't get the results until 5 hours after I landed. That test would have been useless if the gate agents wanted to see it in case I did the Hawaii safe travels incorrectly.

What happens at the port if I don't get my results in time? Test at the port?

I already had our travel info loaded, but when I went in to review, the box for "Travel Type" was blank.  Of course, as soon as I selected "AIR", my flight info was blanked out and I had to re-enter it.  PITA, but now the page is complete.  Not sure why they lost that info.

 

For, the new-design Emergency Return Airport page, our airport code was there, but neither of our names were ticked.  So, something else that got wiped out in the upgrade.

So, I went into our final voyage to pull up the return air trip and it was there, but again, missing the Travel Type, so, I selected "Air", and set about to re-enter our flights.  We are flying home the same day the voyage ends.  However, the travel details page comes up with a red error message insisting I must pick a date after the voyage ends and forces me to select at least one calendar day later.  I have to say that the App does not have us enter the flight times - just the flight number as it can likely figure out the time for itself.  We are booked thru EZ-Air and the departure is 100% legit for their earliest time out of FCO.  So, it's a bug obviously.  For now, I entered our correct flights and used Nov 15 and will send them an email about the bug and I figure some day down the line, I will be able to update to the correct date.  

 

I am still looking for those improvements they mentioned in the App update.  They certainly did not improve the performance.  But at least it mostly works for me. 

 

ETA:  Speaking about performance... it must have taken close to a full minute just to save the Emergency Airport with both our names checked off.  Pretty simple data points and lots of spinning going on.

 

ETA #2:  Have they not fired the bunglehead programmers who keep screwing up the simplest coding tasks?  Update on Emergency Airport.  So, I had ticked our unticked names and SAVED.  After much spinning and waiting, it finished.  When I go back in, our names are still not ticked.  It LOOKS as if we have the airport code but neither of us selected.  I am thinking this page has been coded as an INPUT ONLY page and the saved info is hidden.  Cannot just bring it to mind, but seems to me they have had another page like that - where you enter info and it supposedly saves, but you don't get to see the current results.  Jut too dumb for words.

 

I tried to add our emergency airport as well. Since I live in Las Vegas I chose LAS. It said I did not live near the airport selected. I assure you I do.

So many things won't work for me on the app or the web version. So frustrating. I did not get an update but I just downloaded yesterday.

I will be using my card for the onboard charges/tips/etc. It's just his card gets points and still 0% apr! 🙂

Hubby treats me to a kid free vacay each year and this year I"m doing a Celebrity cruise with the bestie. Will it be an issue if hubby pays with his card, but at check in at the pier he isn't there? Meaning do they ask to see his card or do I just give them mine for onboard spending? I will call Celebrity also to confirm but just wanted another opinion. Or should i have bestie put it on his?

You know now that you mention it. Were the smoothies from the Solarium/Spa cafe? Yes I didn't like them, and yes a perfect way to describe them is a blended salad. Not sweet or thick. In fact I think we said it was like dirty dish water LOL!

I"m ok with $4/day. A smoothie here in Vegas is easily $9-12.

Yes I am aware of that change now. I feel confident about a 9am arrival and a 8pm departure tho, and i am planning on getting travel insurance.

Thank you both. I'm thinking it might be better to tack on a night post cruise bc I'm seeing many late afternoon/evening flights back to Vegas without a ridiculous layover somewhere. I do love forts! And I hear PR is beautiful. Tho that still doesn't solve my luggage issue after the cruise and most hotels don't allow check in until after 3pm. Do most hotels around the world offer bag check like we do in Vegas?

Hi all. 

Haven't been on X for a while, never to SJ, and will be flying in from Vegas. Nothing is direct, so at least one layover. A good price flight with only a 1 hr layover gets me there at 9am. What time does the port start boarding for a 8pm departure time? What to do if I don't get a hotel and have to schlep around luggage for several hours?

Or should I get there one day earlier and stay at a hotel?

Piggybacking off this...My cabin mate drinks alcohol, I do not. Do we both have to have the same package? I believe he will want to upgrade his alcohol package, I'm more inclined to upgrade to the premium non alcohol package. Havent' booked yet, but about to.

I'm extremely allergic to mosquitos and I've had bad luck with mosquitos during all seasons in Fl and surrounding areas. Just bring some repellant just in case. I always think I'm not going to get bit this time and I get bit and I'm miserable. My bites swell up to the size of a half dollar or bigger and are super painful and itchy and last for weeks then leave scarring. But I still love tropical areas.

What are some of the brands yall use for supportive walking sandals? I usually have to wear sneakers for support but my feet get hot esp in the summer months. I have one low arch and one high arch. Isn't that lovely. OH and wide feet too.

If a fare ever drops before final payment do they issue any credit or refund? We booked for May 2022. I felt it was a little high but it's a family reunion trip so we paid it.

Oh wow that sounds so cool. I'll look into that. So for my sailing, we booked a port side cabin. Since we do Juneau first, would the port side be better since we are going back down to the glacier? Or can you view on both sides? We are travelling with a toddler and after Juneau he will most likely be tired and want to nap.

The itin says first Endicott Arms/Dawes Glacier (cruising), then Juneau arriving 7am. Does that mean we cruise by the glacier in the very early morning hours?

The itin on the website before you book says Juneau, then Endicott/Dawes, which timewise makes more sense, but on the map they provided after booking, it looks like Endicott/Dawes comes first, then you get to Juneau. For those who have done this, which comes first? Do you recall approx times?

Both Juneau and Ketchikan have earlier departure times. What excursions are worthwhile in such a short period of time? We did book with the special promotion for excursions, but now I'm realizing it's only for the first person booked and with four people total, and the inflated prices the cruise line charges, seems hardly like a deal.

Tried again and it worked and the start box was much different than last night. Maybe just some maintenance last night.

Yes it gave me those two options as well, and when I choose existing reservation, it then asks for my phone number. If I input it without dashes, it says it it doesn't understand me. Then it asks for my reservation number. Seems like it'd be easier to just ask for the reservation number to begin with. I'm going to try again. I have a toddler so it's hard to get on the phone and stay on hold for any length of time. Chat usually is easier for me, when it works.
