If you buy the travel insurance within 7 days of the initial deposit the pre-existing condition clause is generally waived. It always has been for me, and it specifically says so on the insurance I just purchased recently.

Yes, that's what I plan to do. We'll see what's in the gym in case there's something DH wants, and I'll also ask if there's unsweetened tea. After this trip we'll have a better idea of what to request in the future. Thanks.

Probably all I'd request would be unsweetened tea. But my husband might want a sports drink or juice or something. Most likely we won't be drinking much from the minibar anyway, no matter what's in it, so I'm not worried about it.

Thanks - we'll do that! As for requesting something through our TA (not enough time for that anyway), we'd have to know WHAT to request, and that's the issue.

We'll be sailing on the Regatta soon, for our first cruise since Covid hit. I know the mini fridges are stocked with soft drinks, but we don't drink them other than occasionally using tonic water or ginger ale as a mixer. We're getting the premium drink package and won't be bringing any alcohol. Is there anything else that we could request to be stocked in place of carbonated soft drinks--like canned/bottled juice, tea, coffee, etc.? It doesn't really matter if not, but I was just curious if anyone had any experience with that.
