I was on the Oasis in November. The entrance to the DL is on Deck 11. From the inside you can up the stairs to Deck 12.

I bought one from Walmart and cut it in half, works wonderful, I usually hang it from the outside of the closet, I put all my miscellaneous stuff in the pockets.

We always tip at time of service. By the 2nd night, the waitress brought us our drinks before she even went to anyone's table to get their orders. As soon as we were getting low she brought us a fresh drink. They appreciate the tips, and the service is always good when they know they are getting tipped on the spot. This is why we don't wait till the end of the cruise.

Here is part of our group. I think the good turnout and the people dressed up made it more fun.

We went in November on the Oasis. We had a great time, and the turnout was fantastic. Everyone dressed up, DH won for best dressed male. Started around 10:30 pm.

With the price of jeans nowadays, I think they can all be labeled designer. DH bought a pair of Levi's and they were $45 for a basic jean to wear to work.

What are your thoughts on a boardwalk balcony? Can you see the aqua theatre and ocean from all cabins? Is it loud? Currently booked In a Central Park balcony but thinking about a boardwalk cabin. Thanks.
If you are in a Central Park balcony you won't have a view of the Aqua theatre. You need to stay in the Boardwalk balconies for that. We were in 12707 on the Oasis and had a great view. I wouldn't stay on deck 14 though, some have blocked views. There is a thread on pictures from boardwalk balconies on Oasis with the views, do a search for that. We loved our balcony just remember to close the curtains when appropriate.

Anthem and Quantam of the Seas have Grande. A formal restaurant. It is complimentary but you must be dressed formal. Oviation will also have the Grande restaurant.

For those who are posting about how little room a formal dress and strappy sandals takes in your luggage - consider the weight and space requirement of a pair of men's size 13 dress shoes. Rent a tux? The rental tux shoes are shiny uncomfortable plastic wonders. We gave up formal clothes a long time ago.
My dad's size 14 shoes, need their own suitcase, by the time he packs sandals, walking shoes, dress shoes etc he has filled a bag. He is diabetic and needs good quality shoes, and has to take more than just tennis shoes.

I also think if you decline coffee the first time, they probably don't think you are a coffee drinker, and thus don't offer it again.
-
So you weren't offered coffee, why didn't you speak up and say "Excuse me I would like some coffee", you didn't get offered bread more than once, again, "Excuse me I would like some bread". Life is too short to worry about these kind of issues. Doesn't do any good to complain now.

Have fun! We're going to the dual qualifying races on the 18th just to check out the improvements to the speedway. Gave up my 500 seats about 8 years ago.
Used to go every year.
We usually go to the July race, and love the track, we were there this past July, love the escalators now.

Yes. We are doing a Sensation 3 night in 3 weeks. It's a great little weekend getaway and we only need to take 1 1/2 days off work! :)
I See you are from Daytona, we get off the ship and head straight to the race.
-
Haven't cruised on Carnival for 5 years. We usually cruise RCCL. Does the 3 night Sensation have an elegant night?

This is 7666 from July 2015

Does the balcony wrap around the side?
We have stayed in that room. I will try and post some pics. It wraps slightly to the side, but is larger than the regular aft cabins.
I would choose it.

12707, this is a great location. I personally would stay away from Deck 14, it is too high, and some cabins would have a blocked view.

These were our 2 doors from our Halloween cruise. Strobe lights inside the haunted houses.

The pictures shown above are on the 2nd floor of the Diamond Lounge. You enter through Deck 11. The first level of the Diamond lounge has the appetizer line set up. It is much cozier on the 1st level. The stairwell to the 2nd level is inside and you must use the stairs to access it.

We were on the 10/30 and 11/23 sailings. They were closed both times.
