  1. The markings are usually microscopic and difficult to see. CE is the European marking. The US marking is UL usually in a circle.
  2. New construction required a ground wire since sometime in the early 60’s. Older construction might not have a ground wire. So every circuit might not have 3 wires.
  3. I have been multiple times too. First on Island Princess. After that the ship did not matter, I did Celebrty Summit once to Panama, the ship did not do the locks but we did canal excursions from Colon, twice I did a boat excursion that went from Gatun Lake to the other end, once the train where you don't see much but it is air conditioned. The small vessel can be hot on deck. Some people did an excursion to an Indigenous village. Some took a bus to Panama City.
  4. When I did my partial transit I researched ships that had a good locations on board to view the canal. The ship I picked was not a Celebrity ship. The best ship doing the canal at the time was Island Princess.
  5. They could say that on their page and maybe they will because of the people who over complicate it but what RCCL says on their page is clear enough. Probably if they add that on their page there will be people who will find some other way to over complicate it.
  6. We did a partial transit but booked an excursion offered by Celebrity on a smaller boat from Gatun lake that did the rest of the canal to the bridge of the Americas.. Well worth it in my opinion. Don't do the train excursion. That misses a lot of the canal. By the way you can only book the cruise line excursions.
  7. You can't believe that what the description on Amazon says. You have to follow what your cruise line says is allowed. Royal Caribbean changed what is allowed a few days ago to prohibit those. Will Carnival change what is allowed? My guess is probably. If I was buying today I would not buy one of those.
  8. I think most everyone figured out after the first page or two of posts it is joke are playing along.
  9. They have an al Bacio in the buffet near the entrance with a barista that makes specialty coffees.
  10. I use Tripp Lite surge protectors that cut the power when they wear out. Then you know it needs to be replaced.
  11. If they get a free cruise etc whoever provides it must submit a 1099. That is not what the influencers are getting though. Their channels have sponsors who pay them. and yes the income is reported.
  12. Also with a little planning all devices don't have to be charged simultaneously. You can also make use of the Euro 230 outlet with a euro plug adapter.
  13. Multi USB ports are not multi plugs or outlets. USB chargers have ports not AC outlets or AC plugs. A lot of folks want to complicate this because they don't understand the difference beteen a USB ports on a charger and AC outlets. USB chargers take AC from the mains and convert it form AC to the DC that devices like for example smartphones, tablets.
  14. Royal Caribbean has banned multiple AC outlets. Multi port USB chargers are not banned.
  15. They don’t need expensive equipment anymore. They could even do it with some recent iPhones or Android phones.
  16. I have not bought any either. With my iPhone 15 Pro with the Clear case on I would have to hold the phone with 2 hands and press hard. The silicone cases I could do it with one hand. (I always buy 2 cases) I got an iPhone 16 Pro Max a week ago and I can use the right button with one hand with the Clear case now. A lighter press. I don’t know if they changed the button on the phone to take less pressure or if the they changed the button on the case.
  17. A spammer trying to sell influence likes to influencers resurrected the thread. I kid you not. The spam post has been removed.
  18. If their phone has Face ID they would authenticate with the right button but if their phone has Touch ID they would touch the Home button to authenticate.
  19. On some iPhones it would be the home button which is the button below. What model iPhone do you have? What version of iOS are you running?
  20. Cheap ones can cause fires. A common problem is that people daisy chain them to extend them. They plug one power strip into another power strip and they overheat and cause a fire. They should never be daisy chained. I have several power strips at home but they have both a circuit breaker and surge protection built in.
  21. The one you got is good as long as all you have are devices that use USB-A. Newer phones, tablets and other USB powered devices are mostly using the smaller USB C ports.
