Thank you for the update! I will continue to watch my account for a refund.

I got a confirmation number that was it .   Funny thing I got an email from Royal Caribbean person the next morning giving me there contact info saying please call me I will help you book your cruise and spend you FCC , I was like how did he know I have a FCC when it hasn't been issued yet. I really have no desire to book one just yet I should call to see what he says I have in FCC .

Where does it say RC can take 90 day to refund charges.

So I did some googling  , A company has up to 90 days to return your money on a disputed charge . Now saying that if we all start complaining now I guess now these become disputed charges . In a round about way of thinking . I am sure their lawyers have told them there is nothing we can do . I had trouble with a delivery once and it was the same they said we had to wait the 90 days until we could start with the CC company issuing me a fraud claim . Which is what I will start on Royal if the wont issue me a credit .

You don't read other boards, do you?  HAL has big problems on Zaandam; they transferred some guests to Rotterdam prior to express transit through Panama Canal, and now Rotterdam may have problems.  There are big problems now on Coral Princess which just refueled in Barbados.  EM

That one I knew , The governor of FL is making that one quite an issue . But none of the others one have made any news that I have read .

As of the deadline Monday night, however, CLIA confirmed to PEOPLE that 3.6% percent of its 277 member vessels had not yet made it back, meaning approximately 10 ships with passengers on board are still at sea. Another five are docked but cannot yet disembark.

Interesting I really had no idea that there ships still out an about ,I mean I know there are LONG cruises as in 40 50 day cruises even longer that that. Just assumed once all hell broke loose they made arrangements and figured something out for all of those cruises. Just common sense to me.  But hopefully they are ok and get home soon.

Just read this article and it seems will they be diverted to the Bahamas and it will be their problem. Since that's where the ships are flagged . Doesn't where or what ships very vague article. Or even what Cruise Line and yes I know they own several.

  6. We are supposed to be on the Anthem on 5/29 out of South Hampton was planning on going in on 5/23 and some pre stuff in France and Amsterdam. At this point since we are both in our 60s I really don't see us going but am waiting until April to just see what happens . Don't see this just miraculously disappearing by then . But just waiting to see the cruise lines next move Kind like a slow game of chess lol.

I had a day 1 lunch for chops in my cruise planner, but now it is not there. We are cruising in July so I highly doubt it is sold out this early, only the day 7 is showing which is now no longer a sea day. Is anyone else able to reserve a day 1 chops lunch for freedom? I see Izumi looks to have lunch on day 1, but its so much more money. I would rather not fight over a table for lunch  at WJ its always so crazy on the first day.

I have never pre reserved a table at Chops for on embarkation day  . We always just walk on and go there and reserve our 3 dinner pkg and then say we would like to do one of them as lunch at Chops and they so ok we open at noon . Normally  only a handful of people there . Done it on the Harmony and the Adventure .

  9. I was just saying over on the Royal page , how can you bash cruises and not bash Vegas , Atlantic City or basically every casino in every state , Oh wait they bring in millions of dollars they are not going to shut those down . I was in church today with over 200 people in small place and imagine this some people shook my hand oh the horror and I went to a Shoneys and ate at a Buffet afterwards . But I did wash my hands before I ate 🙂

Your points are valid.  But the one thing about all of the examples you cited is that if a person was to catch the virus at one of those places, they wouldn't be quarantined on a cruise ship.  I think that in a lot of cases of people posting here, that's their biggest fear.

Well talked about that as well . I mean we both take some medications , I have to wear an ostomy because of the cancer I had so I mean if we got delayed for a LONG time . Yes it could be trouble , but we are retired so where we are doesn't really matter except for the dogs but we have a great dog sitter . I wouldn't want to be somewhere overseas for a Long extended time unless they are footing the bill . 🙂

Exactly!  It's not like the only people being exposed are those who cruise.  Everyone is being exposed by going anywhere near a public area or being near someone who has been in a public area.

Plus if a person in Vegas has it he could give to what 100 of thousands  of people if that person really made the rounds .  Even a grocery store Walmart Target .. Wherever there is people .

Honestly it's almost irresponsible to cruise right now, and the cruise lines honestly should cancel cruises for a few weeks at least at a minimum. Since there's no vaccine or way to really control this currently, the only way to stop the spread is by stopping people who are carriers from giving it to others. If one person on the ship is a carrier, think about the hundreds of crew and people they come into contact with during a cruise that they're spreading it to, who then bring it back to their corner of the world after the cruise. I'm not saying a full on "never leave your house" is the right move, but a cruise is a self-contained ecosystem, and is being used to propagate the virus.

So what about Vegas  , Atlantic City , every casino in every state ?  They are small places packed with people ? We were actually in Ky Downs Saturday it was literally packed not a big place but had to 3-4 thousand people there and when left people were searching for parking spots . You know damn well the government wont shut down casinos . Every mall in America ? I can on and On , Heck I was at church today with over 200 people in a small place and I actually shook hands with some of them … Oh the horror . You either live and go or hide . Yes I did wash my hands when we stopped to eat .. On my we ate at a buffet at Shoneys .

  13. Well we are in our 60s and we are not worried . We are heading to Europe at the end of May for the Anthem , we are going to France and to Amsterdam . We are both widowed have both lost spouses to cancer at way to young of ages and I myself survived colon cancer when I was 46 so if that is meant to take us well so be it . But I will be damn if hide my house and spend my last few years of whatever life we have left in fear of what ifs . We planned this a long time ago and onward an upward . Have this and then Hawaii and then west coast for NYE . So ask me on NYE if I am still here LOLOLOL.  Happy sailing everyone .

We sail out of Southampton at the end of May. My travel agent called for current policy regarding cancellations. This is what she sent...

Things are operating as normal unless you were scheduled for trips in Asia.  Current cancellation policies are in tact
and no revisions have been made.

We also sail out of South Hampton late May . I don't worry so much about sailing as much as maybe getting somewhere and all of sudden boom the they so on wait you cant go back home . We plan on spending a few days in France and Amsterdam pre cruise right now everything is fine . Guess just play day to day.

  15. I would never say they WONT cancel a cruise . If the Hurricane would happen to hit the port u are sailing from .. WHICH is very very rare and they cant get the ship back in they may cancel or delay your cruise . I never sail without insurance . Not saying u have to buy it from the cruise lines , there are other options to CYA .

  16. Well I always purchase the drink package with Voom and I always assume it was the slower of the 2 but it always it fast enough for us it allows us to anything I want. I even streamed the Ohio State football game against Wis which they didn't show. It was fast enough to watch it . So I have no complaints with it other than it will kick u off once in awhile and you have log back on for some reason .
