I love the Sky, been on her three times. I have a review in my signature.

My husband loves his Invicta watch he bought on a cruise. He broke the glass face at work and Invicta wanted us to mail it in and wait up to 6 weeks for a price and a repair.
We went to a local watch repair shop and he fixed it in a week for $20. We're all happy.

I just noticed NCL requires 21 y.o in every room. I was planning on putting my 19 y.o. daughter in one room. If required to have a 21 yo i wont be able to cruise. Are there any family exclusions? Strictly enforced? Thnaks
You can put your kids next door or across the hall and it will be fine. I have traveled with my kid a few times and done this.

The only time I saw it was on a 7 day cruise. I agree it is prettier than it tastes. A lot of leftover goodies on the plates.
-
I've only been on NCL and I'm very happy. I picked NCL for the first cruise because of freestyle. I can eat when I want and dress up or not when I want. It's a lot of fun. I have two reviews in my signature of past cruises.

You can bring a case of water with you, or do like someone else suggested and bring a few empty bottles to fill.

I really hope everyone is kidding about not knowing what Tai Chi is, lol.

I chose NCL because of freestyle. I didn't want to pick a time to eat when I booked my cruise, I want to eat when I feel like it. Also freestyle means you can dress up or stay casual. I liked that too. 4 NCL cruises so far and I've loved them all.

I liked it. There is a pic in my review in my signature.

The teen club looked really fun. My child didn't use it much because she brought a friend with her and they did activities on board. When you get on board sign your teen up even if they say they aren't gonna go and you will get a teen activity list every day.

Sailaway out of Tampa you need to be outside somewhere when you go under the bridge! Don't miss that, it's amazing!

What language is that ? Latin ?
I remember the five finger discount .. ;)
lol :D

Thanks for this post. I didn't realize you could search for the Pearl's chartered cruises and there are a few. Gives me something else to look for when picking a trip!

Stick a luggage tag on your drink cases. I took some aboard the Sky no problem and the porters took it. (in Miami) On the Dawn (in Tampa) we had to carry it on ourselves.
-
I've said it a few times, I love this ship. I have found plenty of quiet spots on board to just chill and enjoy the quiet, even when I went during spring break.
-
They didn't the first 2 times I was on it, they did on the Dawn and now that I think about it they might have my last trip on the Sky. Point is the OP doesn't have to participate in anything if she doesn't want to.

lol well on the Sky there isn't an adult sun deck or the quest game so no videos of those on the sky. Sorry to disappoint, lol.
Seriously the Sky is great. Someone buy me a ticket and I'll be right there.

I just find it really weird I got an email from NCL about a week ago saying that the 2016 schedules are out and that i can book miami and hawaii in jan of 2016. Haven't looked beyond that tho.
NCL is having to deeply discount there cruises here last minute it seems as everybody is going to carnival because some people can't take a 7day cruise. Some of the 5day carnival cruises are selling for more in the same time periods. Id take NCL over carnival any day but it is hurting them by not doing any shorter cruises.
Hawaii and the SKY can be booked for many months past other ships as their schedule is always the same!
Go to ncl.com, search for cruises by date and you won't get anything past summer/fall 2015 other than those. They JUST released summer 2015 recently.

winter 2015 schedules are not out yet.

I have a Dawn review in my signature. I did do a private tour in Roatan and it was wonderful. I didn't book it so I can't tell you to company. I would follow the other posters advice and research it. We really enjoyed it. It had a van and took us all around the island. We stopped at the iguana farm, did a boat tour among other things. It was very personalized.

can't wait to see the ship!

I personally would never book a 3- or 4-night cruise as a first cruise. If you do go, just don't judge a "normal" cruise by a short one. They are 2 very difference experiences!
I booked the Sky as my first cruise because it was only 4 day. What if I simply hated being on the boat? The extra days and expense of a week long cruise would have been horrible. Our sky experience was wonderful and got us hooked on cruising. I think if you go with a positive outlook you will find a way to enjoy yourself.

The week you're taking should have a lot of kids. I've commented on your posts before. My teen went and took friend and they had a blast. Your kids don't have to attend the parties if you don't want them to. The white hot party on the Sky has been great every time I've been on it.
No one on this message board can tell you if you should stay or go on the trip. Why not just go, expect the best and have a great time? I can't afford to go right now and I'd be on the ship in a heartbeat if I could.
Afternoon snack, anyone?
