  1. I just noticed NCL requires 21 y.o in every room. I was planning on putting my 19 y.o. daughter in one room. If required to have a 21 yo i wont be able to cruise. Are there any family exclusions? Strictly enforced? Thnaks

You can put your kids next door or across the hall and it will be fine. I have traveled with my kid a few times and done this.

  2. The teen club looked really fun. My child didn't use it much because she brought a friend with her and they did activities on board. When you get on board sign your teen up even if they say they aren't gonna go and you will get a teen activity list every day.

  3. I just find it really weird I got an email from NCL about a week ago saying that the 2016 schedules are out and that i can book miami and hawaii in jan of 2016. Haven't looked beyond that tho.

NCL is having to deeply discount there cruises here last minute it seems as everybody is going to carnival because some people can't take a 7day cruise. Some of the 5day carnival cruises are selling for more in the same time periods. Id take NCL over carnival any day but it is hurting them by not doing any shorter cruises.

Hawaii and the SKY can be booked for many months past other ships as their schedule is always the same!

Go to ncl.com, search for cruises by date and you won't get anything past summer/fall 2015 other than those. They JUST released summer 2015 recently.

  4. I have a Dawn review in my signature. I did do a private tour in Roatan and it was wonderful. I didn't book it so I can't tell you to company. I would follow the other posters advice and research it. We really enjoyed it. It had a van and took us all around the island. We stopped at the iguana farm, did a boat tour among other things. It was very personalized.

  5. I personally would never book a 3- or 4-night cruise as a first cruise. If you do go, just don't judge a "normal" cruise by a short one. They are 2 very difference experiences!

I booked the Sky as my first cruise because it was only 4 day. What if I simply hated being on the boat? The extra days and expense of a week long cruise would have been horrible. Our sky experience was wonderful and got us hooked on cruising. I think if you go with a positive outlook you will find a way to enjoy yourself.

  6. The week you're taking should have a lot of kids. I've commented on your posts before. My teen went and took friend and they had a blast. Your kids don't have to attend the parties if you don't want them to. The white hot party on the Sky has been great every time I've been on it.

No one on this message board can tell you if you should stay or go on the trip. Why not just go, expect the best and have a great time? I can't afford to go right now and I'd be on the ship in a heartbeat if I could.
