I realize that. I guess I was implying that maybe he should have used a TA instead of a cruise line employee.

I only use a t.a. if there is a sizable obc involved.the first couple I've used were more trouble than it was worth.if I got to stay on top of things I don't need you.i have an agent for this last carnival Cruise in 2022 but I booked with carnival myself put down a deposit then transfered it to the t.a. for  the obc.all they got to do is pass on my final payment .

I remember at near the beginning of this crisis that was proposed. I do not recall ever seeing that this happened. Am I correct that it never happened? If so, was it because they were not really ever needed? I know my governor pleaded with the president to get a Navy hospital ship for New York City. But then it left after a few weeks as it turned out it was basically sitting there unused.

    You answered your own question.

I kinda feel the carnival crowd would riot without a buffet. I think it will be like a served buffet. Maybe the food is not out but brought to the table like mini buffet style.

Like going to a diner you stand in line they throw the meat and 2 veggies of your choice on a plate and you go huddle somewhere to eat.we actually had our best meals in those greasy spoons.they can do what they want but I'm pretty sure there aren't enough anti buffet people to keep the cruise lines in business if that's their passenger base.

I would be totally okay with a served buffet. It cuts down on both waste and germs.

A paid hot breakfast option (not those weird breakfast sandwiches) via room service would be nice and may cut down on the lido crowds in the morning.

I tend to eat very little of the self serve food items anyway.

There will always be food waste.people will not eat something they don't like.if it looks good but tastes bad people won't eat it.i was raised not to waste food and I didn't no matter but now that I'm old I'm not punishing myself like that if it's garbage it's garbage.in my opinion carnival food is garbage for the most part.last carnival Cruise 5 years ago I tossed a lot of food.it was just bad I was glad it was only a 5 day.we ate from the deli everyday and it wasn't that good either.

Wherever possible, staff is serving guests at food stations, including the Lido buffet and ice cream machines. Where not possible due to layout restrictions or other locations such as condiment set-ups and salsa bars, dedicated personnel are posted to monitor these stations and service and ensure they are cleaned and sanitized in a timely manner. In any self-service areas that remain, serving utensils are replaced on a more frequent basis.

    From Carnival's website....

That's basic food safety .should have been done all along.i think they should keep on like they been doing before the zombie appacolypse and not worry about it.if your scared stay home.when they let this die down something else will come up it always has and always will.

Probably not .... they would definitely want people on the ship buying drink packages, using specialty dining, taking ship shore excursions, gambling, shopping, etc. The last people the lines want are people that do the opposite of the above. Buy a cruise ticket and spend a total of $8.14  on board being super frugal .

What's wrong with that? Last cruise we spent $15 on board and it was o.b.c..after you prepay everything and you are not on your first cruise what is there that I need to buy? I spent some money in the casino and I came out ahead by a few bucks.best I can do.last time I checked I didn't owe anybody anything.

Too much focus on health? Are you ignoring the economic impact if more people are exposed and get ill? Remember the US health care system and lack of health insurance.

If you can wander around Walmart you can go to work.how many healthy looking homeless people have you ever seen? From what I see the people who want you to stay home have fat bank accounts.i don't work anymore so I really don't care but if I was still working I would have been so called essential anyway.its your life you never have to leave home at least until they send the sheriff to evict you.

Is there a FREE  hot English muffin/egg sandwich on the  Room service breakfast menu? Can you order a BLT sandwich for breakfast ?

    Thanks in advance .

You have to switch Cruise lines and buy into the high end cabin experience for the " all inclusive almost" experience.

With so many getting $600 obc might hardly be a whimper.

I didn't get 600 I cancelled and rebooked before the zombie appocolypse.so I'm going to prepay mine.for 2022 .I bought into the carnival gift card scam so i need to make do .this carnival Cruise is more expensive than my preferred choice but the allure of that whopping 10% bit me in the rear.then again this is the replacement for the Cuba cruise that didn't transpire ,much to my wife's disappointment.

  11. I think it's a marketing trick to try to get a feeding frenzy going.im not booking anymore until they get their act together.i always book a year to year and a half out but not anymore.i don't think it will be hard to get last minute cabins this year or next.just my opinion.

    Yep 😀

All I know is I'm not sailing until 2022 I'm not tying up any more of my money on cruises up front.i have my eye on an 11 day Panama canal for next year but since I'm booking inside any way I'm waiting until last minute then pay all up front.my wife refuses to go this year anyway.she says if I go it will be solo which doesn't bother me but if I go anywhere it will be a land vacation I can do a lot of damage in 3-4 days for less money.
