GS has a limited number. Email GS to request one, and then board EARLY to make sure you get one.

I guess that this would only matter if it were a Balcony cabin.
This is what makes more sense to me. We have had cabins under the galley before (won't make that mistake again), and also had a cabin above the casino band one time. Even had a cabin below the pool deck, and was woke up every morning when they "slide" the pool chairs out in the morning.
We have ocean view, and still try to have shade in the afternoon. :)

We look at the route and try to book our cabin to be in the shade during the afternoon for as many days as possible.

The room steward doesn't take it away?
Nope. We stash it in a drawer or a closet. :)

The tray idea is great. I'm going to use that. Thanks!
We order room service the first day and keep the tray from that for the rest of the cruise.

I'm definitely open to the idea as I will be visiting on the Splendor at the same time that the Vista will be in port. So with over 6,000+ cruise passengers in port, do you have suggestions on other less crowded beaches in Grand Turk? Thanks in advance!
There are no private beaches on GT, so rent a golf cart and drive around till you see a place you like. Governor's beach is close by, but has no amenities. You could cab or golf cart up to Bohio, a small resort on the far end of the island that has amenities and Excellent snorkeling.

I never look at anything with "memory foam" for anything but very casual use - seems to not be built for actual athletic use! For another pair of runners - I was pissed because Solomon discontinued my beloved Synapse trail shoe. But, I've heard excellent things and reviews about Hoka, so I'm going to look at those very soon - my last pair of Synapse will be used up in the next month or two :(
Danskos - I wear the Pros for work. And, I DO fall off of them once in awhile!!!
Love my hokas!
Can't do Dansko, my feet are too flat...but I ADORE my Allegrias! I've walked over five miles in a work day and had no foot, leg or back pain.

Most shows are later than 7:30 except the Welcome Aboard the first night. We've seen that vary too.
Here's what works; preview the menu during the afternoon and walk in, tell them you'd like to make the show and order everything right then.
We've been done in 45 min that way.

Yup, we've found that if we already know what we want to order, dinner takes much less time.

I wasn't sure where to post this so I hope this is ok :) DD and I are booked on Sensation for a 5 day cruise and I am hoping to use just carry on luggage. But then I thought about the liquids like shampoo, conditioner and sunscreens. Does the ship provide basic toiletries in the bathroom? I'm sure the gift shop sells sunscreen, but how expensive is it? If I wanted to bring my own, does anyone have any tips on packing in smaller containers? Thanks for your patience. First time cruiser and we don't fly much either !
For sunscreen, try a stick! Neutrogena makes a great stick sunscreen that we love. It won't count against your liquids when flying. :)

The bathrooms do have the basics, soap, shampoo, conditioner. But thats it.You could buy some travel size sunscreen and then buy something larger when you get to a port.
Bathrooms do NOT have conditioner. You need to bring your own.

We were on the supply tender back to the ship last time in Nov 2015. Last tender off the island. :)

We plan to ask for evening in November, with emphasis on keeping our cooler iced.

Keep checking, and board as early as possible, then go to the excursion desk and see if they have any available. They often have last minute cancellations.

Oh, I also use Glide, an anti-friction stick, on spots that rub. I also use kinesiology tape around my two smallest toes, and under the ball of my foot, two spots that always get blisters for me.

I have NEVER said I don't like kids. I don't like adults who turn their kids loose on the rest of the passengers and don't make them behave.

No priority tendering to return. Just get in line. It goes very quickly.

I do a combo. Decant hair gel into 3 oz bottle. Toothpaste, moisturizer, etc into contact lense cases. Purchase travel size febreeze and conditioner at embarkation port.

HMC is a beach day on one of the most gorgeous beaches. No excursion necessary.
GT is a snorkeling and beach combing stop. Either with an excursion, or going on your own. Turn right at the end of the pier, and head down about halfway to the point. Snorkeling from there to around the point is good. Fish, urchins, starfish. We hung out with a huge Ray for over half an hour there last time.

I take a pair of walking shoes, and I also take a pair of keen sandals that I have worn when I walked ten miles in a day. I carry them based on where we are walking. Keen are for walks that might include a beach. :)
I also have several pairs of Merrell sandals that I wear and love.

We have cruised after Thanksgiving before and had very few kids on board. Going again this November. :)

So no one would think it was wierd for a 40 something, a 21 year old, and a 19 year old to go the breakfast? It sounds like a blast
My 39 yo fiance and I went in November '15. They sat all the unaccompanied adults together (two big tables with just adults).
:)
We plan on going again this November.
