  1. Yes the Butler can do it but on a recent cruise when I asked the Butler to make a reservation for me he said "It's easy, you can do it". Others have been more accommodating.
  2. Eh, maybe I bought before I felt that the company was losing touch and maybe I am am thinking of getting out at a profit. You need to know the facts not take a wild guess.
  3. I may not be happy with the way Celebrity is currently handling the cruise line but the parent company, Royal Caribbean (of which I am a stockholder), has seen a 100% increase in its stock in the last 6 months. Ya win some, ya lose some.
  4. Celebrity is the only cruise line that I have used for the last 25-30 years . I am Elite+...Many, many cruises. I have watched the quality decline and the prices to be out of touch. I do not feel that I am qualified to judge other cruise lines. I do feel obligated to tell this to people that ask me. Thanks for your interest, but what do I know?
  5. Equinox, the end of Nov. into Dec. I stayed in a run down Celebrity suite. I did not "STEER" them to any particular cruise line. I steered them AWAY from Celebrity. I can only advise people from my experience. It seems as though there are a lot of Celebrity "Homers" here. Please don't kill the messenger or perhaps, "the canary in the coal mine".
  6. Word of mouth is another form of "bad publicity". Having sailed on an 11 day cruise in December I have had several couples seek me out for advice about booking cruises. I have steered them elsewhere and they have booked on other lines. I am Elite+ AND a stockholder. I am very disappointed in the product that Celebrity is putting out.
  7. I may not cancel an upcoming cruise but I will shop other cruise lines in the future. I just do not feel that Celebrity is "special" any longer. (Elite+ and very disappointed)
  8. This was on the Equinox. I am not sure how much refurb/renovating was done but the main areas of the ship looked fine.
  9. The shape of the cabin is the same as all other Celebrity Suites. There is no difference. The angled balconies are 50% bigger (and much more desireable to me anyway). My next door neighbor (Celebrity Suite) definately had "Deck Envy" when he saw ours.
  10. I recently sailed in 1110. The balcony is extra large. There is no difference in room size. For the price of the Celebrity Suite they should be ashamed of the furniture i.e. sofa, etc. I would not even stay in a hotel that had a sofa that was that beat up. The carpet also had a few rips and wallpaper was in tough shape. I am a 30+ year Celebrity customer/Elite+ but very disappointed in the room and the price that they charged. I expected more from them. They better do a refurb if they expect to get next years inflated prices. The rest of the ship is fine.
  11. I had not thought of that. Oustanding idea! Tomorrow night on the Equinox I will be the guy at the bar watching his laptop.
  12. I was assuming that because I am in a suite that I might get some type of preference once on board. That may be an incorrect assumption.
  13. Years ago I remember I tipped the butler after a later night sandwich and it just felt uncomfortable to me. now I wait until the end. Thanks everyone.
  14. As a different thought.... I usually tip the butler at the end of the cruise. Do some of you tip as you go along? ie snacks, ice, laundry etc.
  15. I always tip the staff. I just hate to bother people especilly my butler. If I could I would probably go down to the kitchen and get the snack myself. LOL
  16. I do not usually call the butler for snacks. I call room service. I am trying not to bother the butler but I do not know if that is possible.
  17. If I order room service in a Suite (A pizza or a sandwich, snack, etc.) will it be brought to me by my butler or someone from the kitchen. The reason that I ask is.... I do not want to bother my butler in the middle of the day or at night if they are busy. I would probably jut skip it.
  18. Back on topic. Does anyone have any personal experience getting from Terminal 29 to the "PALM" garage at the end of a cruise. I know that there are shuttles but is it a madhouse or orderly? Are there other ways to get there? ps Shuttles make me nervous. I was on a shuttle some time ago and someone took our luggage by mistake(?) and we never saw it again. I vowed that I would never take a shuttle again but I am afraid that I will have no choice. Thank You.
  19. Will a porter bring your luggage to the garage in Port Everglades?
  20. I wish that people would stay on topic instead of telling me about another cruise line or how wealthy they are or pretend to be. Just answer the question.
  21. On my Celebrity cruise on the Zenith in 1993 we had to get our life vests, put them on and walk to our muster stat- oh wait!. This is 2022. Nevermind
