  1. 22 months, did they offer you any interest on your money?
  2. I personally like booking early because you get the best choices on cabins, if that matters. Around 130 days out, right before final payment, I check the price on selected cabin category to make sure that the price didn't drop substantially. You can always take advantage of booking a last minute cruise but sometimes you get a good deal without the FAS perks.
  3. Heard a lot about this excursion, on my radar for next May on the Bliss. They have a video on youtube.
  4. Depending what restaurant you are looking at, once onboard check everyday for cancellations, you might be able to get a spot. There is also a spot for reservations, keep checking with them.
  5. When you check in on the app, 21 days prior to cruise, I think you can go back and edit your store form of payment.
  6. After dinner and after a show, Macallan neat is my night cap
  7. RocketMan, if you go back on cruise line website and check the price on that different date that she is telling you, is your TA price better than direct?
  8. I done the same thing in the past, never receive a better prices or any extra incentives than what I get with NCL. That is why I book direct.
  9. For MDR polo shirts and shorts is fine. I know Le Bistro and Palomar require slacks. Other than that everything else is very casual.
  10. When selecting my cabin, if close to stairs and elevators, I try to go 6-10 cabins (on selected category) past the elevator banks, never had any issues with noise.
  11. NCL website direct. You'll find the best prices on cruises that are 30 days from booking.
  12. BF category might be on deck 9, just be aware that the cabin might be located on top of restaurant or bar. I prefer BA category, and I still check the deck plan above and below.
  13. There should be open spot from people disembarking the Joy that morning. If worried try to get earliest check in time you can get.
  14. This is true, but Im not depriving myself of a drink because of it.
  15. Mac, some drinks will be .97 cents in taxes and some will be $1.67, all depending on the drink. On my last cruise out of Galveston, my tax bill was approximately $13 dollars. I consider that pennies for the amount of money I paid for the cruise.
  16. You dont pay after meal, any free meal or alcohol package you already paid gratuity at booking. Some servers go above and beyond and bring you extra appetizer and other things, tipping additional is discretionary.
  17. At the end of day, it comes out to a few dollars. You are on vacation, enjoy whatever drink you like, dont stress a few pennies in taxes.
  18. Enjoying your review, thanks. Our first cruise was a Grand Mediterranean cruise on the Spirit, did enjoyed that ship. Love to see you and dad are enjoying this together. Hopefully I'll have that experience one day with my daughters. I love beers too, enjoy lots of cold beers with dad.
  19. Another vote for Los Lobos. Between Tepanyaki and Cagneys, I would go for Cagney, you get more bang for your bucks there. Both are just ok for us, but it is hard to please a New Yorker with either of those 2 choices.
  20. It is even nicer that you probably drive to the port.
  21. No specific MDR or time, go at whatever time your belly tells you. No need to dress up either, be presentable. No assigned table, table for 2 is a table for 2. You can exit 1 dining room and walk right into the other or buffet. Very relaxed as it should be.
  22. Is this the queue how the bartenders identify El cheapo?
  23. Dont know, It was recommended on my last Prima cruise roll call. I called them and the person that answer was very helpful and help me booked 7 specialty restaurant dinners. They have to, once the Chief calls, its all hands on deck.
  24. Absolutely, especially when lounging by the pool.
