Basically have to search ship and sailing date yourself. Personally part of a large group 800+ on Sky in a few weeks - called to find out how full the ship might be and the agent either played dumb or actually didn't know about our group when pressed about any groups being onboard.  Multiple sailings over the years we've had our group AND a smaller group onboard at the same time - Felt really bad for those who weren't part of either group and didn't know about us.

What’s with the Sky? There is a huge group on there this week!

  2. Is there a way to find out in advance if there is a very large group scheduled on a cruise?
i recently heard about a cruise that had a huge group (dozens or more) that were overtaking the pool and even the MUTS schedule

No access in the outdoor line. Talking to many people around us in line none were paying any attention to their check in time. When we entered the bag drop warehouse it remained one line sharing 2 luggage scanning machines. It was crazy - when the belt filled up the machine switched off while those 10 or so suitcases were picked up by

porters and carried to busses. Our waiting time was about 2 hrs 40 minutes at this point.
We had a short wait for a bus and the bus to fill up and were then driven to the checkin terminal where we saw the first Retreat signage🤗  Of course by now Luminae was closed so no lobster rolls for us.

Thanks for your comments. Did you wait with your checked bag for it to get scanned or did they take that separately to the ship? Just curious how many checked bags are going to get lost in this mess

They transported passengers to another place to embark? Were you able to take carryon luggage with you?

So, interesting thing about the sundaes...you can customize them. Still huge, but you can ask to not get certain things or have other things added.

Also, the "huge" cakes at the international cafe that they charge for are "free" with the plus package (counts as one of your 2 free desserts).

I didn’t realize there were cakes at Intl Cafe that are normally charged for?

  5. I thought I read on the Princess website that the International Dining room (not the International Cafe) on the Sapphire  has options for traditional dining (same table same wait staff every night) at 5:30 or 8 pm. However when I went into Personalizer to reserve times it looked like there were options for other times, which does not make sense for traditional dining.

Anyone know the details on this or have experienced it lately?

It is 12:00 am NCL time (Miami - Eastern time US).

The importance is that you select your time to arrive at the port upon check-in. Early times “sell out” quickly, so if you want an early time, 12:01 is when you need to check in. Same is true on Royal.

For non-priority passengers, dining [and show] reservations open 12:00 midnight ET US 120 days prior to departure. Prime time reservations will sell out quickly. Same advice, 12:01 is the best time to be on and reserving.

I bracketed show reservations because at the moment, due to COVID, they are not allowing pre booking shows.

    That’s helpful info thank you
