You've almost got everything you'll need!

You're in the right place for the timetable - F1 Manly to Circular Quay [ https://transportnsw.info/routes/details/sydney-ferries/f1/090F1 ].

The 'Day Restrictions' is only referring to the exact service that has the icon above that time, not the whole row. It's basically used for late night/early morning services that only run on weekend nights. ie the 00:20 Friday-only Circular Quay-Manly service.

So, you (almost) certainly won't miss the last ferry back - it's at least 00:20 on a weeknight and 23:40 on Sunday!

The trip itself takes about 40-45 minutes, plus queueing on top of that. You'll want to be on the wharf at least 10 minutes before departure, more if you'd like a decent seat/view on the boat. Embarking is pretty chaotic at times 😛

Your hotel is already pretty close to Circular Quay - it's only a 10 minute walk [ https://goo.gl/maps/ChY7xRkTKa17YeCg8 ], essentially in a straight line. You could also catch the brand new light rail, but it's barely faster than walking [ https://goo.gl/maps/sxxtyd4NuPrHq89A9 ].

I really like the Bondi to Bronte walk (I think that's what you're referring to?) [ https://www.waverley.nsw.gov.au/recreation/places_of_interest/waverley_walks/bondi_to_bronte_coastal_walk ], though I think the Manly ferry is a great harbour cruise in and of itself and tips the scales in that direction..?

OK that makes sense and thank you for all the great info.  I was considering the Bondi to Bronte walk instead of Manly, just not sure which to do, they both look great, I don't think we will have time to do both.

  2. We will be in Sydney for a few days in February. We would like to take the ferry from CQ to Manly but have a few questions

Is it reasonable to try to do this starting mid afternoon? Will we have enough time?

When is the last ferry returning from Manly back to CQ? I looked at the online ferry timetable but not sure if it ends around 4 pm or there is a timetable section titled “day restrictions”.  I don’t know what that means

Our hotel is Amora Hotel Jamison in Southbank. What is best way to get to/from the wharf?

    Thank you for any advice

  3. I checked the new BestDealEver pricing that just came out, it is not a better deal for our situation. We already have the SipnSail deal with the Bev Package. The new price to refare is higher than the $25pp per day upcharge to include grats and wifi

grats are worth $14.50 per day, free wifi to us is not worth $10.50 per day per person. We are premium so get a few free wifi minutes and don’t need more than that

But I do like the concept of the all-inclusive as well as the concept of add-on pricing for current fares. I think this looks like a great promo if you don’t already have the Beverage package

We use EZ Air frequently.  Had many flight times changes with Delta for our upcoming cruise in January.  The biggest change was our return flight being cancelled.  Delta booked us on another flight which gets us to our destination airport a lot later then the original flight.  We'll have a 3 hour drive from the airport getting us home around 1:30 a.m.  Our seat assignments were also changed: only 2 of our family of 6 will be sitting together.  This can't be helped because the new flight was mostly sold out.  Were we happy about it?  Not really, but we'll make it work.

When these changes happened and delta rebooked you, so this happened before you paid for the flights through EZ Air? But then did not make you pay a higher fare to change flights? Delta just rebooked you? Just confirming

  5. Hi, I have never used EZ Air before so am very much a rookie at that. But I reserved flights for two cabins for a cruise June 2020. Since they are separate reservations and booking numbers, how can I link these two separate reservations so we can all keep together on the same flights if the airline makes changes?  these are domestic flights on American Airlines.  I have not paid for the flights yet, they are just reserved via EZ Air.

I will say I am pretty nervous about this, I know people say lots of good things about EZ Air. My biggest concern is that American cancels a flight or makes a change that screws up our connections and then I have to go modify my EZ Air flights at a much higher cost. The flight costs have skyrocketed since I reserved these several months ago.

  6. Does changing your EZ Air booking affect your cruise promo? There is currently an EZ Air sale going on. I have already booked a cruise for next summer under the Sip n Sail promo. I don’t want to lose that promo. I have already reserved flexible flights for this cruise (not part of any promotion). But if i see a lower air fare i want to be sure I don’t lose my Sip n Sail promo

  7. We are booked on a cruise for next summer and have reserved flexible flights on EZ Air. This is the first time we have used them.  How do I check if prices go down on EZ Air?  I have been doing it just using a "saved cruise" (not my actual booking) and checking the pricing compared to what I have so far.  Would I get different pricing if I actually  went to my booking?  But how do you do that, I just want to compare pricing, I don't want to screw it up and lose my original EZ Air booking!
