  1. Underweight I can see having not enuff inertia to go up and around the loop. Overweight not so much. I've done many enclosed slides on cruises. Believe me. My circumference is just fine.

Just found quite odd they will try and judge who to weigh.....

As I said how can a few lbs break a slide that is build to held hurricane winds and to bend with the lean and sway of the ship.

  2. You won't choose any of them over the other based on menus as it is the same in all three.

Samples I've saw I thought showed more variety in Manhattan. And taste and savor are the same...

So what's the biggie? Why do they have 3 just to spread out the passengers? Other than that is it just dancing in Manhattan room thats diff?

So my reservation should then be linked to all 3 if they all offer the same,

  3. Your only issue would be with the drop slides....

"Waterslides: Free Fall - Must be 48" (122cm) or taller and weigh at least 99lbs (45kgs) but no more than 300lbs (136kgs)."

But do they put u on a scale as I hear? Been down many others with a 300 limit. As I stated. Never died :)

If they don't weigh its basically free fall at it own risk....

  4. No difference in room or balcony size. Family balcony is on the closest floors to kids area and pool and or splash academy.

Mid ship is exactly what it is. In between the lowest deck and highest deck. I choose that so I'm not on the same floor as all family's with crying kids

With the gem mid ship is 8 9 and 10.

But BA... B2 and B3 category are the same size

  5. DO you have a direct number for Ridgefield? I called but was transferred to the generic line and the girl had no idea what i was talking about. Thank you!

Directly from my roll call thread

309 plus taxes!!!! 355.35$ total. 14 days parking!! Round trip taxi shuttle!!!!

    Call ASAP!!!

    Ask for Brian 1-201-229-0340

    Or 1-201-641-2024

Yes call those #s. Basic reservations speaks 0 English and think is located in India

  6. Just heard that they weigh you for waterslides? Is that true

A slide that can hold up to damaging strong hurricane force winds at sea and sea salt cant hold a human that weighs a few lbs over?

Is there a limit on all slides or just freefall

I'm 6'8" 320lbs ( I wear it damn well) and been down Green Thunder and Speed racers on sunshine and pride and didn't die. Max was 300

U telling me I gotta do a weight cut for vacation?

  7. You did the tour with one of you needing a wheelchair? I've always read there are tight stairways to navigate as part of these tours.

No wheelchair just was adding why I had forgotten to sign up earlier yet still had openings on a holiday cruise

  8. Depends on the ship and crowd. Believe it or not. We were on the Splendor NYE cruise this December. Boarded as fttf. Went to room to but carry on away. Get the wheelchaiur that was delivered. Around 6pm. I remembered to go book it as I had forgot.

Mom and I were 1 and 2. On the 2nd tour as it was later for us.

Great day it was. Saw the bridge with ample time (30 min) including a lengthy Q&A with captain. Group and Individual pics. Saw crew areas on the bow and chow hall. Mourge. Jail/Brig. Behind the stage and dressing room. Galley. (In action) was around 1130 at that time. Brunch was in service. Did a fruit carving demo. One young woman was upset that mushroom soup was not on any menu for 7 days and asked why. Chef said he didn't know what menus were rotated but OFFERED to make a batch for her and the family of 8 she had. He had a notepad wrote it down and table number. Saw her in the casino and chef did follow thru. We Saw I95. The walkway the length of the ship. The crew learning area with computers for language skills. Saw 2 meat freezers and fridges. Beverage cooler and a Q&A with the manager. Laubdry room and crew work out gym. As well as a lengthy in depth exploration of the Engine Control Room with the Chief Engineer. Ended with a stop upstairs for a demo and soap carving at the steakhouse before u got a free drink and a backpack and hat and fill out your fast survey.

  9. Wrong. Max charge to park at port is $400. Plus you don't have to stand around waiting for that shuttle to pick you up at debark

If you can drive from your home that morning just do that and park at the port

Exactly. It's great for people who life afar. 4 hrs +. Never want to be up at 4am. Drive 4 hrs. Chance of road closures or traffic on a Fri morning

  10. My girlfriend is into the fruity mixed drinks. Sex on the beach. Mudslides and all that and Vodka splash on cran and sprite for me.

I know with carnival u are a little more limited with price beverage options.

You do get soda right?? With the UBP?

Heard u don't get a can. Only fountain sodas? But u can get soda in casino and mdr?

  11. I was searching for cruises for next summer, and it seems that only one ship (the Getaway) is doing the Caribbean from May until September... With Escape moving to NY to do the Bermuda run, this leaves NCL with only one available ship for the entire Caribbean for 5 solid moths. I've sailed the GA 3 times now, and while a fine ship, I may have to look into another line for my summer vacation...

Sky is also doing the 3 day Bahamas trips. But that's no cruise unless u make it a B2B2B!!

look at carnival sunshine out of MY with 2 itinaries.

I use cruisetimetables.com to see all departing and call ports for a ship

  12. As one poster above noted....We are staying at the "Hilton Gardens" in RIdgeway Park overnight. Four of us in a room is $325. It's free parking for our 14 day cruise in Jan...which would cost us $560 if we park at the port. They drive you to and from the port for free, and there is a free breakfast in the morning. No worries...can't beat that!

Done be,confused. I'm on the same ship as u are. It is 40$/day. Up to 10 daus....Remember 11-30 day parking is a flat fee of 400$ as well. Not 560.

The room is only good if u are coming from afar

  13. I don't have a menu, but having just gotten off thee Getaway, I can tell you that it is difficult to find something that is NOT covered under the UBP, unless you get into really top shelf liquors.

Are u allowed to get that souviner fushbowl cup? Said drinks are 12.95 with glass? Or u still need to pay?
