Going on breakaway for 14 days

what port has the most convenient jet ski rental

i was going to book a san juan tour but last tour is 330pm and we dont dock til 3

looking for best beach near port with rental at either Antigua, St Lucia (8-5pm) or a beach in San Juan perhaps?

Here is a little hint for the OP -

During your first cruise or subsequent take a moment or two to discuss dining arrangements.

Find out how the system works and how it will work best for you for your next reservation or cruise.

If at first you have difficulty making reservations through the on board Dining Reservation Desk take a

walk over to the restaurant when it is open and discuss upfront with the Matri D' or host/hostess about your

plans. They are much better able to assess the booking situation and what can be done to provide you

with the seating arrangement you need. If the answer is NO maybe being flexible on booking the reservation

later or earlier or another night may help.

 

Another big hint - Log into the Roll Call for your sailing - Go to the Meet & Greet party - Make contact with

the person handling Dining reservations and see about getting things squared away at that time.

 

Lastly keep coming back to post here at CC - we all would like to know about your successes and any other

ideas about getting that hard to get dining time !

CCL i eat anytime. There's always a show goinh on 0 reservations ever. And always got to see everything

Ive read bad reviews on NCL excursion. Its rushed and have little time at the baths becuase how long it takes. 50 min each way..

I still need to figure out what im doing and how to get there with as muvh time to spend there

Good think i have UDP im going to be using it trying to organize this. It seems soo hectic hope its not.

I think its fair i book 9 of us on all sea days atleast because port days are total coin flips. As well as needing to book 3 speciality

I guess it makes better sence i do not see all 9 eating every night together. My grandmother is 85. She sleeps. My cousin and wife will be together maybe ad well. So true maybe make 2 MDR reservations 3 in speciality to use up the promo.

Whats the average wait time for 3-5 people just showing up at the MDR? If we went? And does taste savor and manhattan ALL SERVE THE SAME MENU?

What they don't want is for you to pull a bunch of cash from your account onto a slot, upload those funds to your card, remove the card, then walk to the window and cash out. The slots are not ATMs and they'll lock your account if they notice this happening.

For NCL? are u meaning

Ive pulled over 5000$ off my credit card on carnival to have cash in pocket to avoid the ATM fee. Never did it lock up

That is covered in the Cruise insurance i pay $169 p.p. for. I was always told that covers on board medical treatment as well as cruise cancel protection?

i was told by my TA and other reviews i read that I SHOULD PLAY IT SAFE and make MDR reservstions as a party of 9 just walkimg in may wait a while. Since i was bashed on that question that i may tie up tables if i dont show i wont do reservations

i hsve the Dining Package as well. Help me out on this. How am i supposed to know what time i should eat that WILL NOT CONFLICT with anything the day of in the freestyle daily. I dont want to hsve to miss a bingo/tournament/or whatever it is the night of my specialty dining and hsve the chance of then missing reservations for the upcomming days due to availibity in restaurants. I shouldn't have to sacrifice anything if u coin the word FREESTYLE

Same as shows. What if i book a late show on a sea day but also decide SPICE h2o has something i wanna do that night at 10pm...How do i decide what day to reserve a show!!!???!!!??? Whats the odds of me getting to see a show the day i wanna see it?? After knowing the schedule of events on the ship that day

Very hard to call it Freestyle if i may miss out on a show all together because i went to something else.

Hoping because its a 14 day cruise it might be easier as reservations can be spread out over a longer time but ive read nightmares of scheduling stories and seems to be more of a burden than a freestyle.

People who I have seen write you dont need any reservations for anything.. please explain such process to guarentee im not sacrificing a dinner or show due to sn event in the dailies

Usually freestyle means theres a show and dining always available to see when u want to and not have to miss anything with sacrifices or restrictions.

So id like all opinions please

Dont even wanna get into NEEDING to book comedy and cirque IN ADVANCE!!! Without knowing yet again if it will ir will not conflict with an event in the freestyle daily

Ya its for my grandmother shes 88. Its a 14 day cruise amd told her to allow 200$/day. Was just pondering the idea IF she ran out whats the best option to get cash in her pocket for misc. Tips or to buy trinkets ashore

Should i make a reservatiom to be safe. What if we dont go to eat one night or 2 what happens. I just feel a walk in of 9 will be hard to seat in a timley manner

Splendor was my first ever CCL ship. She made me fall in love with carnival. After taking 3 cruises last year i was happy to spend NYE on her again!!! And it was a free Bounce back but besides that. I love the splendor and will be sad to see her go.

Casino Money Question??? Can i charge my credit card/debit card to a slot machine if i run out of my bankroll? It is 3% correct?? 100$ is $103 charged to my account. Same as if i go to the cashier window?? If i charge my account its 3%

(Say i run out of cash completely and need money for ciggs in st maarten) i can change my account and get 100$ cash at the cage off my folio?

What if i use the ATM in the casino whats the fee for the ATM. And does YOUR BANK charge u an additional fee to the ATM fee? Has anyone noticed??

all i have read is MAKE RESERVATIONS FOR LARGE GROUPS no matter what. otherwise the wait time is outrageously long

I think it's pretty rude to make a reservation if you don't know if you are going to make it nor do you know how many people are gonna show up.

hence why im asking. im not going to want to be without a reservation and have to wait hours for a table of 9. nothing rude with making a reservation. after all its freestyle. rather have one if needed but im not going to want to be tied down to a 6pm time slot

I think we all know that NCL has been juggling around the same perks for quite a while now with free drinks, specialty dining, internet, shore excursions etc. I personally LOVE when they do the free gratuities and tax free spree, so why not combine those two!! that is real money there! I don't really drink enough to get the drink perk, but the grats and the taxes are money I don't have to spend :) maybe NCL will read this and add it!!

you do realize the tax free spree aint free. duh! they bump up the cabin base rate by the price of what taxes are .

did the SH last year a loved her. great size. great lay out and we had Emma Nixon! cruise couldnt have been better Citi was a great steward. she was a hard worker. 8228.

the colors are nice and bright. really better than the pride and splendor ive been on.

serenity is to die for! went in august and a great day to sail outside all day. never had a problem with seats

shoukd be a way to make it easy to dock. a long pier like costa maya or Harvest caye.

i get free drinks in the casino. for gambling i bring around 2500 for 8 days on ave another 100$ per port. . so all around 3000$ cash. but if i run out i still gots my credit card :) whatever i buy on board i just pay later
