i believe they are in fear that if they send out a florida/bahamas itinerary too many people will cancel. They will wait until final payment is due and then (maybe) let you know where you will be going

They are risking ALOT of future business doing that

On the BA sailing for 14 days Jan 2nd. Got the email saying on sept 19 that 2 weeks an itineary will be confirmed. Got a call from corporate today. Tgere are NO CHANGES to our sailing. Final payment will NOT BE extended. All ports are subject to be called upon as of now. Either they are optimistic or not worrying about it til a closer date.

A friehd is on the 2-2-18 sailing and got am email today saying his itinerary will be sent by Thursday

If they sre diverting san juan st Thomas and st maarteb to port Canaveral. Nassau and GSC why not do it ro all.

Im doing the jan itinerary of the same one. 5of the 8 ports will be ready. Still a great cruise

They can go to Samana in the DR. They can go to Jamaica. They can go to Grand Cayman. St. Kitts is still in play. St. Lucia is still good to go. Dominica and Tortola are out for a while.

Just because the port is ok to call at doesnt mean the ISLAND as a whole is ready or safe for tourists

I bring 2500$ just to gamble with nevermind spending money. I can never budget that with 4 people

Was told in an email by vivian. Ncl passenger services president. That my 14 day BA eastern cruise is staying east and eill not go western What ports are left my itinerary was SJ. St maarten lucia Thomas. Dominica. Tortola. Antigua. Barbados.

What other eastern islands can they fill? She said they are securing berthing rights. But theres not much left in the eastern. Croix and kitts just got hammered too.

What is a typical refund on a cruise that may get less ports of call than scheduled? What if my sailing does not go to all 8?

will they switch this to a western? In full or will ncl try to keep the same itinerary and go to all scheduled ports that were not hit and only replace the ones that were hit

final paymemt is in 2 weeks and really rather not do a 14 day western if 5 of the 8 eastern ports can still be called at

its titled a southern so would aruba or curacao be a replacement? Or st kitts and croix are the current replacements

If it's the 14 day BA cruise I am thinking of NCL can judge if the ports are ready and do a few changes if they are not.

 

Since it is a 14 night cruise and has 8 ports of call they could always eliminate one or two and head to ports to the South that were not affected as badly if at all and would make excellent alternatives to the usual Eastern ports...It would mean a few extra sea days but it would still be a welcomed cruise to the Caribbean in the tail end of the Winter months ..

 

I hope the Islands most affected by Irma can shake it off as quickly as possible and put their lives back together after what appears to have been a catastrophic disaster.

 

We were on one of the first cruises to Labadee after the Haitian earthquake and remember the truck loads of bottled water, food and supplies that were off loaded from the ship. Lets hope the cruise lines can not only help with tourist dollars but needed aid as well as soon as possible.

Agreee. The BA is labled as a southern anyway. I cam easily see them missing maarten and thomas and head to aruba/curacao

Ive been following excursions closely. It still only shows 18 for me

i leave in jan for 14 days. At what point do they start to appear? Im going to 8 ports and only 2 ports have options.

Id like to start planning but cant when nothing is able to be viewed for 80% of my sailing

BA's bathroom does have a switched 110v outlet on the ceiling next to the mirro, it is marked "shaver" only - low amp/current flow. Besides using it for a shaver or maybe electric toothbrush, it's fine for a typical smartphone or digital camera charger drawing 1, 2 or 3 amp. etc. - anything that's rated higher would likely trip the circuit breaker (and, you can't reset it without access to the panel, somewhere else.)

All of this is assuming they let you keep your fan. Some on here have said they confiscated theirs. Not sure why! I know we like a fan at night too. I downloaded a "fan" app on my IPhone just in case our fan does not make it through.

Oh i have a Drs Note. Its not for noise its for air flow in my face i cant breathe in hot dense air i need a fan on me at night time while sleeping

I wasnt goimg to daisy chain the extension cord into the power strip just to be safe. My mom was flipping out and im like i see nothing wrong with that.

I know the room in my (MA) mini suite has 2 110v outlets on the sane circuit on the counter. And a 110v in bathroom

My problem is i charge my phones and camera thru out the night in a power strip from one outlet. And i need to run an extension cord to a fan near my bed from the other outlet.

Can that work or is that too heavy of a currant at once for the ships load?

I can run my phone charger in the USB near the beds....which would only need an outlet for a camera charger.

What is my best option???

Use bathroom 110v To charge camera

And run 1 extension thru the night from counter outlet?

Or just use a power strip in 1 outlet and the fan/extension in the 2nd outlet?

No tub just a big shower with rainfall head and 4 or 6 extra jets . The bed in this room is by the balcony also. Enjoy you cruise .

Have u had 11200?. Yes i love my bed near my balcony leaves more room near the closet since the sofa is half as big!!

Some mini suites have shower walk in. Some i see have a tub too? Im in a MA category on the breakaway is there any telling what i have. Room 11200. My dad will just be getting over knee surgery so i really woukd like a walk in shower in my MA....
