  1. I love both ships! The Dream is one of my favorite ships, but I also love the Freedom. I'd let the itinerary/cost be the deciding factor. I think you'll have a great vacation on either. One thing, if you're interested, Freedom has Guys Burgers and the Dream does not. :D

  2. I haven't gotten a survey for the last 5 or 6 cruises. They used to arrive by email a week or so after returning. I always acknowledge people who made my cruise memorable. I feel badly that I can't do that anymore.:( I don't know what happened since I know they have my email. They email 'specials' all the time.

  3. I think you should grab a taxi and go to Secret Harbor. There are very few tourist there and it's fabulous. There is a bar/restaurant right on the beach. I can't think of a more beautiful place to propose. You can Google Secret Harbor to see photos. The water is a marine sanctuary, so there is wonderful snorkeling there. You can just walk into the water from the beach and enjoy. I loved it so much when I cruised there in 2002, I flew back, rented a condo and stayed for 2 weeks. It's a lovely place.:D

  4. If you are taking advantage of your priority debarkation, with self assist, you will receive a letter in your stateroom telling you where and what time to meet. It's usually a dining room or the main lounge. You will be in the first group allowed off the ship. It's wonderful to be off, out of the port and sipping coffee in a cafe and watching the hoards of people who follow you. I highly recommend it. I've never missed priority debarkation since I was Platinum. In some ports, I've been off the ship at 6:15am. Getting an early start is nice when you have to drive home. Enjoy your cruise.:D

  5. Well I've got 24 Carnival cruises under my belt and 2 more booked this year. I've been a loyal customer since the 1990's. I spend my fair share in the casino every cruise. I wonder how much more I have to do or spend to be special in Carnival's eyes?

Lol. This feels like acid on an already open wound.

I hope you have a wonderful time on your 17th Carnival cruise. ;-)

I have 27 Carnival cruise and meet all the same criteria. Never an offer to me either. Oh well......

  6. Does Carnival still give out the white milestone cards for 25, 50, 75 and 100 cruises?

Not always. I did my 25th cruise on the Legend back in November. No Milestone card. I asked about it and was told they'd have to verify my eligibility. They finally called 2 days later to say it was my 25th cruise, but couldn't provide the milestone card. They said I could have it on my next cruise (Dream 12/7) but that didn't happen either. Alas, no Milestone card for me. I guess I have to wait until 50, if I make it that far.:(

  7. There are definitely better deals out there. However, I still use my Carnival card and pay it off each month. I finally have enough points to pay for a cruise. It took me 2 years, and I've done a lot of cruises. But, since I've never been offered one of the 'free cruise' offers, I'm happy I can use my points and book one.:D

  8. My favorite ship is the Legend. She's big, but not the biggest. I've never felt crowded due to the layout. The staff is wonderful and food as good as I've had on any ship. I'm sad she is moving to Australia since that's way too far for me to fly. :(

  9. I also carried my own water from the ship. No one said anything. I did purchase a drink from the roaming waiters and it was the same price as those on the ship. I really love the beach there, especially since it's free. Enjoy your cruise.:D
