The Moet was in the ice bucket on the Arrival. I also brought a couple of bottles of wine from home.   I believe it was an "upgrade" instead of the normal Spanish Sparkling Wine we received on the second day.  The three of us probably drank at least 2 bottles of Pelligrino each day.  Per your excellent guidance, I did make the request for the sparkling water and the mixers before arrival.  My guess is I would not have received the 24 bottles of "mixers" if I didn't make the request.  However, I could have asked Maria during the cruise to provide additional soft drinks and I am sure she would have done so.  Just nice to walk into the Room and see this amazing selection.

We’re traveling in the H2 in December and basically this email just made me get level 11 excited! I have my email from the concierge but hadn’t replied yet…now I’m going to make even more certain I ask for what I really would like, of course knowing my trip won’t be made any less pleasurable if anything’s not possible. This thread is just wonderful! 😍

Thanks for all the responses.  To build on my idea of a "Haven for Dummies" idea, I have gone ahead and created a shared Google sheet with items that people have requested in the Haven.

Thanks for putting this together…it’s a great tool to go with this thread. I make something similar to @Sthrngary ‘s journey report in excel (do it for every vacation, have for years) and I agree it allows me to be 100% relaxed from minute 1 of heading to the airport. Thanks again for sharing!

Most of the month of April was a blur… Other than excessive eating and drinking, I had begun sleeping an average of 11-12 hours a night, just to pass the time. I was even more depressed than ever about my life as a whole. Coming to the realization, that after 50 years on this Earth, I was nothing but a “non-essential worker”, while the 16 year old kid behind the checkout counter at Publix was “critical infrastructure”... It’s as if my entire life had been kicked square in the nuts…

This is the best, most accurate portrayal of the pandemic in one paragraph I’ve read. Sadly.

    Anywho…loving the review!

  4. This was a GREAT review--thank you!! You guys are much like us: a happy marriage where some people get up early and others...don't.  Lots of book-reading and interesting excursions otherwise!!

I waited until the end because I was afraid everyone else would also ask then people would say 'REFER BACK TO POST xxx", but what is the game Puerto RIco? We are also big game players so I got pretty excited about it. Have you guys tried the game Watergate? It's a pretty good two-person game. Anyway, great review and I wish you the best for your next cruise! 🙂

They send you out a US Mail hardcopy letter 45 - 60 days out.  You are all right, I am on the Joy at the end of November 2021.  You can't book Entertainment or Specialty Restaurants.  They don't even show.  HOWEVER, in the Haven, you can book Specialty Restaurants 120 days ahead.  That is one of the many reasons I wrote this op-ed.  What you do is send a email to the Pre-Cruise Haven Desk.  I did mine 120 ahead, it was handled and shows on my online overview.  You can call also.  Here is the information.  1-855-625-4283 or email us at norwegianconciergedesk@ncl.com.  Remember, only for Haven Guests.

Thanks, I noted that but just haven’t had time. I just assumed I’d get the letter and do it then. I’ll email or call tomorrow! I’m sure there’s room, but I kinda just want to take advantage of all these Haven perks since it’s my first time on a Haven ship! Thanks again for the entire thread—can’t be said enough!

    and thank you, @caitlynambrai!

  6. I’m wondering if you guys with upcoming sailings have been receiving communications like normal pre-cruise? I’m in the 80-ish days to sailing and haven’t heard anything from concierge and still can’t book dining online (was hoping to be able to do so through concierge letter). So maybe my expectations are too high? Or are you all experiencing delays as well? I’ve only been on NCL before on Dawn (suite only) so I want to make sure I’m understanding what to expect for Haven around day 90. I feel like I understand because I’ve read this whole thread multiple times, but I haven’t received anything so just making sure. I REALLY need this vacation, lol!

The cheap wines you are reffering to are probably the premium plus package wines. And the prices are the upcharges if you have the included package and not upgrade to premium plus.

Well, that makes sense. Should’ve thought of that. Thanks for replying! 🙂

  8. Thank you, @Sthrngary and @Sailing12Away for all the great tips and apologies for the delay in response (still on vacation, now in Wyoming). I really appreciate you all taking the time. I’m especially glad to understand how the drinks and shore disembarkation work, so thanks for the specifics on that. I just still can’t believe we’re supposed to get back to cruising shortly and definitely am kind of still just holding my breath. I’m so glad for this site and folks like all of you that help us all have the best experience possible! 🙂
