  1. Hi everyone,

I have a few of questions for those who have used the Princess transfer option in overseas locations.

My wife and I are planning to take a British Isles cruise round trip from Paris next August to celebrate our 53rd wedding anniversary. We are talking about spending a few pre-cruise days in Paris.

We are wondering whether we can choose our hotel and add on the transfers or whether we must use the recommended hotel as seen on the Princess website.

Can you tell me about your experience using Princess transfers? Did the Princess transfer take you from the airport to the hotel of your choice and then from the hotel to your ship on embarkation day?

Or did you have to stay at one of their recommended hotels in order to use their transfer option?

Also, did the transfer transportation take you directly to your hotel or drop you off nearby?

    Thanks for your help!

  2. I'm so glad to read another great story like this. We also have several friends who cruise often and until recently only booked insides. They finally decided to splurge on balconies with adjoining rooms. Now they love it and say they will never go back to inside cabins.

We enjoy balcony suites for all the reasons you gave, and are looking forward to our Christmas cruise this year. Cruising is a fantastic way to travel and having a balcony makes it even more exciting. Happy Travels wherever you go next.

  3. It was fantastic. There were wall to wall/floor to ceiling windows in the living room and bedroom overlooking the Lido deck. The dressing room and walk in closet were spacious. The bathroom was huge.

A memorable cruise even without the special perks of the other cruise lines we have been on.

  4. 1) As far as I know, Guy's Burger is exclusive to Carnival ships (yes, I know Carnival owns Princess, but the Crown is a Princess ship).

    2) Yes, the aft pool ...

    3) Good question. They are both next to each other and they are both buffets. However, on some nights the Cafe Caribe turns into something else (like the Crab Shack or something else). Just make sure you are out before midnight or you will be trapped into a pumpkin until it opens again.

    4) I use to like rear facing cabins. Now I like forward facing cabins. So, I would choose the forward cabin. Besides, if you are on the lido deck you can get to the fun faster (yes I know FTTF is also a Carnival thing).

    5) If you want to see all my pictures of the Crown (from February 2016), click on the link below ...

Nice pictures, thanks for posting. We will be on the Crown next August. Really looking forward to it.

  5. We enjoyed being in the Penthouse Suite on the Carnival Ecstasy a few years ago. It was a fantastic experience!! The suite perks are not as good as other cruise lines we have been on, but the experience on the Ecstasy worth it for celebrating our anniversary.

Pictures of that suite and cruise are on my wife's website at the link below my signature. Happy Travels wherever you go next.
