The start of my cruising season.:) :) :)
-
9 with RCI
1 Celebrity
1 Princess
Total of 137 days, I think.:)
Our average number of days per cruise is 11.:D
We never book a cruise we don't take.

Debating the merits of drink package verses buying drinks as you go.
$64 for 26 days seems like an awful lot of booze. We are both into our 60's and I am wondering can we drink enough to realize the value in the package.
What do most people do? Would appreciate some help and some suggestions from anybody Please.
I would never be able to drink enough to buy the package. Just buy as you go.:)

Come, sail out of Singapore! :):)
I have done it on Rhapsody, Voyager in November, and Legend in June.
Also just booked to do it on Millenium.:D
Love your country.:D And those great repositioning prices. :)
Absolutely love Legend, more than Rhapsody.

US$30 unless you get a C&A discount.

There are answers to this situation on the RCI thread, if you want to search for it.
The gist is, if you do nothing, turn up at the check-in, tell them that your son is not coming, you will be refunded his fees & taxes, as well as any pre-paid excursions, OBC, etc.
At least this way you get some-thing.
Good luck.

Our first cruise I booked a 1pm flight and never heard the end of it from the family when we had a 7am disembark and had to sit at the airport for hours waiting for the flight.
I learnt from that experience and have since always booked an 11am flight and waited to leave the ship until 9am. Have always been at the airport with a good hour to spare, but if you are worried ask for an ealier timeslot for getting off the ship and then if you feel happy enough to stay onbaord to the last call you can, go to the dining room or windjammer and enjoy a leisurely breakfast before heading to the airport.
I agree with you.
Never had a problem.
If you are concerned, you can always do express check out.:D
We always do 11.am, and are the last to leave the ship. :)

$10 per day than Princess.
Does that mean P&O cruisers drink more?  :D
Yes, they do.:D

Stu and family, have a fabulous time.:D
Bon voyage.:D
-
In my experience, they close them around 9 or 10pm, so they do not disturb anyone.:(
-
I got an e-mail today.
Voyager is not going to Lifou, in November.
I go to Vila instead.
Better for me, as I have been to them all many times, and Vila has the best duty free, and free Wi-Fi.

Same as all other Royal ships. Family Oceanview, and Royal Family Suites, or sometimes called 2 bedroom
suites. :)
Had both. :)
As above, you can only book them by calling.
-
We have done 3 B2Bs.
Never received anything extra.
-
Yes, we took 2 bottles each on Legend in June.
They immediately asked us if we were in the same stateroom.
We were in 2 staterooms, like you.
They seemed to be much stricter than all of my previous cruises.
We have previously brought more on board, from the ports, but it was confiscated this time.
And returned the last night, of course.
-
It ain't so.
They have had them on all of the ships I have been on.:D
I have them all.:D
-
There was an article in our major newspaper's travel section on Sunday.
It said 'Ray & Barbara King, from Hobart, Australia, are Princess's titleholders for number of cruises, with 179 cruises. 2400 days at sea'.
Cheers
-
People wear them from their cabins to the pool.
Yes, I do.:D
-
There is a disadvantage.
We found that the wine we like to drink was cheaper to buy by the bottle.
Under the old wine package.
Cheers

Not too soon to count.
But probably too soon for your records to be updated in their computer system.
So go to the LA as soon as possible, if you don't have Diamond printed on your seapass card, and he/she will put a sticker on your card.
You will get all of the Diamond benefits.:D
Cheers

D: As soon as the first ship turns toward us.:D
Has it started yet.:D
Graham, see you on November 18th.:D
-
Are you on my cruise, 30th October?
I have recently started reading the Princess thread for info on Golden.
The Aussie based ships don't have the Platinum/Elite event, so I haven't been to one. But the visiting ones do, Golden, Diamond & Emerald? :)
I'm excited about checking it out.:D:D
Not free drinks, like RCI, but $5 cocktails.
Bring it on.:D
-
I read that the locals will provide a free shuttle service.:)
Dumb excuses people use not to cruise
