  1. Has anyone recently used luggage valet at Port Canaveral? I'm looking for the flight times that qualify. A post from Apri indicated that it was between noon and midnight. Has that changed?

    Thanks,

    Jan

I just called C&A to check on our April cruise on Oasis. I was told we couldn't use luggage valet if our flight was before 12:30. We leave at 11:30 so we can't use it this trip.

  2. Can't speak from personal experience till next April....but friends just got off Oasis on Saturday and loved the CK. They were very disappointed with MDR and tired of fighting crowds at other places so they went to CK for every meal and were very impressed with every aspect of it !

  3. The Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas shore excursion for the Rose Hall Hilton says four hours. Is that four hours at the facility or does that include drive time back and forth to Falmouth? The shore excursion is around $150/person. It's hardly worth it at four hours much less anything less.

Try resortfortheday.com. It's cheaper than going thru Royal, but you run the risk of losing your deposit if the ship has to divert due to a storm. I believe it's $117 for 2 people going that way and you can get there earlier and stay longer.

  4. Does anyone who was recently on FOS recall whether the seats on deck 4 outside (below the lifeboats) were upright chairs or loungers (or a mix)?

    Thanks,

    m.

I'm going to say they were a mixture of both. I usually run on deck 4 and I can recall people sleeping in the loungers, but there seemed to be more upright chairs. Hoping some one corrects me so I don't give you the wrong info, but that's my best recollection .

  5. We usually get a GS or OS. You will love everything about a GS and the only extra perk of a OS is the extra room and a dining table in your room if you get room service. But it's hard to pass up eating or drinking on the balcony, so a table may be a waste of time. We have never done a CLS but the only bad thing I have read on here is the noise from the basketball court that is right below the rear facing rooms. People complained of the noise till late in the evening and nothing could be done to quiet the players down. It sounded like the extra money the people paid for these suites did no good and the complaints fell on deaf ears .

  6. Send him to Windjammer . Not that this is related to your post, but we cruised with some younger friends and the hubby was the pickiest eater I have ever seen in my life. He made an order then sent it back for something else because it didn't look good....never made an attempt to try it, it just didn't look good to him. Needless to say, that was our last cruise with them, we just couldn't take it ! But like I said, send him to WJ and make life easy on everyone .

  7. We always get a starboard room every time we sail . As far as your cruise, we have come into St. T and St. M on the starboard side each time. Only once did we turn around in port at Nassau and back in, but then we got a good view of Atlantis. I have read other posts where it is at the Captn's discretion as to how they dock, so I guess we were just lucky it turned out we got shore views as often as we have.

  8. We do the same. Booking early, with our Diamond discount, we have twice snagged Grand Suites for under $2500 (total for two) on Adventure. First time was our Feb 2016 cruise, next is our Oct 2017 cruise.

Nice snag ! That's a great price. We booked a GS on Oasis for an April 17 cruise while onboard Freedom and I have been watching the price daily, it's gone up $1,300 so far so it doesn't look like I will be booking at a cheaper price. I love Royals sales.......

  9. You could probably do the early flight as long as you don't dawdle and get right to the airport. We usually take our time getting off Freedom and still get to the airport by 10. That being said, Oasis is a much bigger ship with a lot more people trying to get to MCO. If I had the choice, I would go with the later flight and enjoy the shops and food at the airport while waiting for the flight.

  10. Thank you all for the advice/help. We always do pre paid gratuities also but then we also do extra. Looks like we will just wait till the end of the cruise with extra. Good insight on the difference between a tip and a bribe, I never thought of it that way but see how it could be taken as such ! Thanks everyone.

  11. Hello, we will be on Infinity in a couple months in a RS. I'm wondering if anyone tips their butler when you first board and meet them or just wait to the end of the cruise. I'm sure either way the service will be great. Thanks in advance.

  12. Don't quote me on this, but it has been our experience the only time we found crowds overwhelming was right after muster and anytime there was a T-shirt or watch sale. There were times we would come out of our room and the halls were completely empty .
