Welcome to the world of quality cruising ! Hopefully you will never go back to that other line . You can't go wrong with either ship, our preference is Silhoutte, but both are great !
Historically the Dream and Fantasy schedules have been released as a block, 16-18 months before the cruises started. This is based in part on the contract with Port Canaveral that required the larger ships to have a specified number of dockings at PC per year. Essentially, DCL must keep one of them doing 3/4 night cruises and the other doing 7 night cruises out of PC to meet the terms of the contract. This allows for only minimal variation in where the ships go.
There have been times when the Wonder and Magic cruise schedules were not released until 12-14 months before the cruises. This was presumed to reflect the fact that these ships were doing more unusual cruises which required more effort to book ports, etc.
Thanks for your help moki'smommy, we are looking to do the Eastern Caribbean hopefully on Fantasy. I will keep checking in Oct. and Nov. to see if anything is up yet.....Thanks again ! -
Thank you !

Hello, I realize it's a long way off, but can anyone give me an idea of when Disneys schedule will be out for April of 2018. Trying to plan for the wife's birthday and trying to save up for the cruise. Thanks in advance !

Not saying this is a gimmick, but last night, I checked the price for our Oasis cruise and then looked again tonight once the "sale" started and today's price was $100 more than last nights price. Don't think I'll try to rebook just yet !

We have 132 points. On our Alaska cruise We will reach 140 on the land portion of our trip. Would we get a block while still on the ship?
We hit 140 while on Freedom and I checked with the Loyality Ambasador and he awarded us one . We will be on Oasis next year when we hit our next number and I plan on doing the same thing, hopefully it will work.

Yes they have our beloved Guinness onboard !

Guessing you are referring to renting equipment onboard.we have only seen snorkel equip. for sale on the ships. It may be worth getting some online and taking it with you, if you have enough room in your luggage. What you can purchase tends to be better than the rental stuff and you don't have to worry about someone else's germs in it !

We have gotten the same room on deck 12, starboard side when on the Allure, and it has worked out well for being on the scenic side when coming into port. We have only done the Eastern Caribbean on Allure and at Nassau we have pulled straight in for a nice city view and also turned around for a nice view of Atlantis.

Book now and watch for a drop in the price .

Never did rock climbing before, but do Zumba, Jazzercise, etc.
Not sure if my arms are strong enough for rock climbing wall.
How difficult is it?
Use your legs to get you up the wall, and your arms for stability !

I wouldn't hesitate to do it. We love all the perks that come with the full suites.

There is a new post started on this. Looks like the muster was still going on when they left .

Glad to see so many good reviews on this hotel. We are staying there in Oct. for our cruise. Is there a courtesy phone at FLL to call for a ride, or do you call the hotel directly?

Go on Majesty if you are more interested in the destinations, and go on Enchantment if you want to have fun onboard and the destinations ! We weren't impressed with Majesty at all and we're hoping she was really leaving the fleet.

A friend was called to naughty room for an iron, only problem she had no iron!! Ex rayed in front of her and said that they were sorry and made a mistake.
I had to do the same thing on the Allure. When my luggage didn't arrive, our room steward finally informed me it was in the naughty room and I had to go retrieve it. Turned out to be my wife's hair dryer that when folded up looked like an iron to them thru the X-ray ?? I had to open my luggage in front of them to prove it wasn't an iron and once they were satisfied , I was on my way !

You will be surprised at what some people consider formal wear. But yes, he will be fine without a suit jacket, or for that matter a tie also. The dining rooms are on decks 3,4 and 5. Usually decks 3 and 4 are for the traditional dining times, and deck 5 is for MTD

We were on Allure last year, and the invite was for suite guests and Pinnacle only. I'm pretty sure we met at 1:00 so we could experience sail away at Nassau.
-
Yes, the suite breakfast is in Chops. Sorry, its for GS and above or Pinnacle

Glad to hear you are enjoying Royal. Freedom and Allure are two of our favorite ships ! We have been loyal to Royal for years, but now we are also adding Disney to our cruising experience , and loving it. We are doing another Disney in a couple weeks then going on Oasis again. We love the variety of what each line has to offer ! But as you mentioned, there is a huge price difference, we can get a GS on Royal cheaper than just a balcony on Disney.

Catch a cab...it's simple

We usually get our things out the weekend before, but packing starts the day before we leave.

Just a thought, but an 8 day cruise might be out of the price range for college kids on the Freedom. But I'm sure you will encounter a few. We also try to plan our cruises when there will be less kids of any age onboard . Another thought, you could change the cruise to a Celebrity cruise where there should be even less kids .

Thank you all for the advice. We were able to get this room ! Now it would be nice if there was a price drop on a suite !

Agreed....we booked our Oasis cruise while onboard Freedom. Then Royal had their last WOW sale and the price went up $1,300 more than we booked it for. Now I see the price is up an additional $100 on top of that with the new sale. Doesn't sale mean the price is better ?
