  1. My April is showing the beverage package, but we booked it on Black Friday so we got a better deal.  All of the dining options show a discount, but the discount is the same price as what I see normally.......

  2. I personally like the shorter ones, especially if the port is not far from home.  Its like a long weekend at the beach.  I love the Reflection and have sailed on her many times, including the inaugural season.  I have not sailed on any of the Edge class ships, but I love the classic feel of the Solstice class.  I especially like that the Lawn Club Grill is still available on the Reflection.

  3. Wow!  I have kind of been avoiding watching things like this; it just makes me miss the experience even more.  But this was different!  I have been on each of these ships, with the exception of the Edge (thanks, Covid) and this made me feel like we will be back on the water before long!  This even motivated me to book the Apex for early 2022.  Very well done, and a peek into what happens on the bridge with all of these ships and these fine Captains, lets you know what good hands you're in.

Can you share how you know the cruises out of LA will be private cruises?

I just disembarked a Celebrity sailing this week and there were various announcements that the Millennium and one other ship would be used for 'humanitarian efforts" for first responders and fire fighters, as a way for Celebrity to say thank you.  The announcements did not  include info on whether or not they would be private sailings, but they eluded to the fact that they were 'glad to give back' when the ship could not be used for the originally scheduled for-profit sailings.  We believed these would be chartered sailings and we were surprised to see ads selling these sailings in our emails yesterday..

  5. Unless its been changed, Constellation has the pool; it did in the solarium when it was last in the Caribbean.  There is also a martini bar, a great aft 'sunset' bar, hot tubs at both solarium and pools, and really good food.  I haven't sailed the new class yet (Apex booked for Nov) but have sailed 3 of the S-class ships many times, and I would love to sail on a great M class like the Constellation again; she is where I first caught my cruise bug!

Just had drinks & more on the Infinity. We upgraded from the classic perk with some on-board credit about 2 weeks before the cruise.

We received only 2 bottles of wine in the cabin, but we didn't care to ask for more because it was the cheap Morpho Helena wine. We packed it away in our checked bag and focused on drinking premium things.

The wine tasting experience wasn't bad, there were 12 different wines to taste from 6 different countries (a red and white from each). They had an assortment of cheeses and other snacks to cleanse your palate. The normal price of this experience was $30 or so. I did find out I like South African wines so I guess that made it worth it. It only lasted an hour on a sea day. It was nice chatting with the sommeliers and other wine-loving guests.

Our mini bar had the same things as mentioned above, but instead of Tito's vodka they had Skyy Vodka. The small 375 mL red wine was Kendall Jackson Vintner's Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. That was pretty good. We took one of those bottles home!

Having access to the large Evian waters late at night/early morning was a great perk.

Casino play was as described above. Despite only getting 2 bottles of wine per 2 people, we EACH got the $50 casino credit. I was prepared to fight for this if it wasn't the case. This credit also made the upgrade to Drinks & More a no-brainer for us, as we wanted premium drinks and had planned to use all of our excess on-board credit in the casino anyway. Playing Craps we were able to break even and turn the promo chips into ca$h.

No regrets here. Would do this again if we planned to get the Premium drink package. Enjoy!

We feel the same way And we're glad to hear that it's panning out the way we had read it to. We aren't concerned about the bottles of wine, and we were planning on casino time anyway.  We just loved the idea of being able to grab a drink/snack when we felt like it, especially late night!

Just came off 5-night Equinox and we upgraded to Drinks n more since we also had the 4 perks and OBC.  We received 4 bottles of wine (2 white/2 red. — they were in our cabin when we arrived).

Our cabin steward was aware that we had the drinks n more and let us know that anything in the mini bar was included.  It was stocked with regular & diet coke, sprite, Heineken,  mini Tito's vodka bottles, Evian, 2 375ml wine - 1 red/1 white, kind bars, and pringles.  We enjoyed the convenience of the mini bar as many times we forget to bring water to the room at night. We did have to ask the cabin steward to restock pringles nightly (nice munchie fix after a night of drinking).

The wine tasting experience unfortunately was the same one that is included for Elites, so i was a little disappointed, was hoping it was one of their other wine experiences.

Super easy getting the $50 casino play, we just went to the casino cashier and they took care of it.

    Enjoy!

This is exactly what I had hoped for!!  Thank you!!!!

  8. We were lucky to book with 4 perks, including the premium beverage package.  We now have the option of upgrading to the Drinks and more package; it seems a no-brainer since we generally use some of our OBC in the casino anyway.

We are able to upgrade for $126 for 2 of us.  Has anyone taken this upgrade recently, and if so, can you let me know some details? The package says it comes with two bottles of wine so I'm assuming if both of us book the package then it would be four bottles of wine, which would be great for our post cruise vacation blues.

Also, it says we have full use of the mini bar and its restocked daily. Are the items in the mini bar the same as they've always been, to include Evian, Heineken, etc?  It will be nice to not have that emptied out at the beginning of the cruise for a change!

Thanks in advance for any insight/advice!

  9. I don't use any medication for seasickness, but I have experienced this illness several times over the years.  I remember one time I had to hold on to the shower wall (in my home) because I couldn't keep my balance.  Luckily, its only been a few times, but I never know when it will happen again.

I was actually more interested in leaving them behind in ports of call than on the ship itself.

I have actually found several of these and its so neat to post my findings to the matching FB site and find out where the rock originated.  I have thoroughly enjoyed finding/re-hiding them, and certainly did not consider it 'litter'  It started out as a rock, it still IS a rock.....Rocks are everywhere, just these got a little TLC..

  11. To respond to OP's original question, what ARE we getting for booking Concierge and Aqua??  Most recently, we had to move a sailing and wound up on Deck 3.  It was half the cost of the above mentioned cabins which we've booked over a dozen times.  The end result?  We had a great cruise, we ate where we wanted, when we wanted, and we did not miss our Concierge or Aqua perks at all.  We loved the vibe on deck 3, and how easy it was to get on and off the ship in Port.

By the way, we've always brought our own personal toiletries....

  12. They have a 'full moon' party at the pool one night and they have invisible paint that glows in the dark(for face painting), and many wear all white on that night!  Its great fun!
