The ultimate dining package includes lunch on a sea day in one of the specialty restaurants. How does that work when there aren't any actual sea days? (3 night sailing). Seems at $72, its still a very good deal if there is no lunch, but just wondered why it is offered if there are no sea days.

I am sailing the 3 night on October 26th, 2D balcony cabin 8616, paid $759.00 out the door, 2 ppl in the cabin. I booked last spring, and I monitor the prices regularly. I booked when the price was down. Also got $100obc for booking a non-refundable deposit, and my TA added $50 more. I am happy with the booking.

Does anyone have copies of the Mariner of the Seas main dining room menus on the three night weekend cruise that they could share?

The filet mignon at the Lawn Club, with chimichurra sauce. The BEST.

Ginger Lime salt scrub with massage! The best!!

Agree. If they really want me to enjoy my meal they should let me put on a toga and recline while they bring me grapes and wave those big fans on me. Now that would be memorable dining.
That's what I am talking about!!!

It's time for our group to start planning excursions for our midwinter thaw! This year, the Equinox is taking us to Punta Cana. I've searched the port boards and crickets. Does anybody have any experience or any suggestions on what to do in Punta Cana? We aren't really interested in an all inclusive or a dolphin experience. Would rather just find a public beach that has a few amenities, maybe chairs and umbrellas, and a little food and drink. Any suggestions or advice?:)

We walked to the fort from the ship, then kind of 'grazed'out way back down to the port. There were so many great little places, Chocobar was fabulous for drinks and appetizers (and some chocolate to take home) and we found a wonderful little taquaria that served great gourmet tacos and octopus emapanadas. This is our standard 'excursion' each time we visit, and we have always found plenty of great food while on foot.

Well thanks guys.....We are big fans of the Molecular Bar. Liked a lot of the cocktails and could get them every night on the cruise and they would be identical, which is rare for us on a cruise ship.
Also a big fan of Molecular, but we love the World Class Bar, too!

Can I bring my own snorkel gear and snorkel while at Coco Cay or do I have to rent/pay to snorkel?

I loved this! Thanks for sharing!!

Is Celebrity still offering the St. John's on your own excursion? It was basically a ferry ride(from St Thomas) over and back, and you were on your own while over there. It isn't listed in the cruise planner anymore. Can anyone recently on the Equinox confirm whether or not it is still offered? Thanks in advance!!

After much debate of Trunk Bay, I went to it on my cruise earlier this month. I wasn't thrilled about spending $100ish just in transportation, but I bit the bullet. Was really glad I did. It was the best beach of the 7 we went to. Wasn't too crowded, beautiful scenery, good snorkeling. The ferry ride and exploring St John were bonuses.
Were concessions opened back up? I understand the restrooms and chair rentals are open, but we miss the bar!!!

When did you go? Are the rental hut, restrooms or concessions opened back up?

These are great! Thank you for sharing!

There will be plenty of availability once you board, no worries!

Enjoying this review immensely, even though I've gained at least 5 pounds so far! More, please!!:D:D:D

We think both food and service in Blu has gone down significantly. We decided on our last cruise to not sail AQ any longer as a result.
Agree completely, at least in my experiences this past season. We are booking concierge now, still get a large balcony, great location, etc, but we will dine nightly in the Specialty restaurants. Blu, to us, has lost its luster.....

Good question!!! I just booked a "bump" room on the Resort Deck, C-2 on Silhouette for TA cruise in November and await responses with you.
My favorite, just a quick walk to the pool, elevators, oceanview cafe. We have booked it several times.

Next time, get a massage!!!:)

The ship is undergoing a huge remodel / refurbishment so I don't think any current pictures will be valid when it begins its Miami sailings anyway....
-
Also just off the Silhouette, and I completely agree. Was my 3rd sailing on this ship, my 7th sailing in AQ, and Blu just didn't measure up.... Also did not like the fact that morning coffee delivered to the cabin is now just a plastic wrapped cup rather than a full carafe. We still had a great cruise, but we surely won't shell out the premium cash again for a less than premium experience in aqua class.

I also use this TA. My invoices DO take some time, because many times they will use a group rate, and until they fulfill the number they've guaranteed Celebrity, Celebrity does not release the invoice. Also, things they promise come from them and not the cruise line and those are what is written in by hand. They have always delivered, and I've used them for the last eight cruises;
leaving on one through them in 2 weeks. They've always been helpful when I needed to switch a reservation or change cabins as well.

Were discounts offered when they tried to sell you dinners? Just curious, we usually book specialty dining ahead, but we are in Blu and we aren't sure how often we will eat elsewhere.

That is reasonable! Can I book that online or can I only book that onboard?
