  1. Ok so now lets talk. Been cruising on & off close to 40+ yrs . Been on HAL , Celebrity, Royal , NCL, Princess , think one other. Been on big ships , little ships ; been on 7, 11, 14 day cruises ! Have dressed in shirt n tie every nite for dinner as well as shorts & tshirt.

With due respect to some of the comments , when you book a cruise you know ahead of time how each cruise line operates. I , for one , do not need a shirt n tie ; in today's world tattoos n piercings are quite common.

NCL for me is , place a call, book the room, get my perks, pack my bags and enjoy...

this question has been asked several times in the past: I think most of us, who prefer NCL when it comes to mass marketed ships would say, service and entertainment. I haven't cruise RCI or Carnival for many years so I am not sure this still is the case but we have always had great service on NCL, not so on RCI. And certainly not so on Carnival. Oh, freestyle also enters the picture. NCL was the first to introduce freestyle and it seems to work a littler better. As for the class or people, anyone who would even suggest NCL only attracts working class, has no NCL experience unless it may have been on a booze cruise. Even then, just because someone chooses to enjoy a short, booze type cruise doesn't make therm lower class.

Please as stated above consider some of us lower class. !!..personally I go on 2 cruises a year. I agree with Newmexico..I go cause its my relaxation , itineraries , port of embarkation , over all pack my bags & go. Been using the same PCC for yrs.. All lines have pro's n con's...

    I leave again in Sept...

  3. So disheartening..1st cruise yrs ago , paid for the SDP, now we get the perk. Now also entitled to the Lattitude dining perk. They put restrictions on what you eat , in what category and now they charge more for it..I feel bad for the 1st time cruiser who likes to eat..

generally if you have a good agent there will be more perks involved for one thing. They also have better knowledge of the overall picture in regards to your total travel plans. They are there to assist whenever needed, not just booking the cruise. At least that is how we see it.

AGREED. I encountered my 1st PCC just because I called and needed help in combining 4 cabins to 1 confirmed reservation for my SDP's , my shows, even the complimentary MDR's. I could not achieve this on-line.

Since then , he has booked 4 more cruises from me . I call , tell him when & where & done. Perks , bookings all done with no worries. I'm happy

  5. I guess we all have different opinions and needs. After 5 cruises under " our " belt , my phonecalls have always been responded to and questions always answered. Helpful in booking and reserving any additional needs for an upcoming cruise. I'm happy with mine....

Will vary by cruise but 630 to 730 would be peak time because they are just starting to turn tables for those seated at 530 and on

Don't really need reservation unless traveling with a group..Had 8 with 2 grandkids at Specialty & complimentry restaurants..Did not need big ship lines with kids..PCC booked all venues for me..Just easier...

  7. been using my PCC for @5 yrs now, Never any glitch in booking cabins or decks. SDP and Lattitude dinners , as well as some shows ...Got a phonecall about a month ago that I was now receiving an additional cruise perk , above the 3 that I requested at the time of booking..

5 years ago he helped me with all my on-board bookings for a family cruise and I Never used him for the actual cruise booking !!!  He has gotten now 5 cruises since then,,,, I'll keep him

  8. Having been on NCL 10+ cruises as well as other lines , I have always had walkies. Never were confiscated at the pier or on-board. Range was always dependant upon ships. Once used from ship to pvte island.

Family cruise yrs ago had dual channel capacity cause grandkids had their own.

    Never leave home without it...

  9. Most of my cruises have always made the Nassau stop. Blue Lagoon - sealions... D.D. for ice coffee...pvte island for dolphins..taxi to Atlantis..beach day at Melia resort..D D. ice coffee walk....got an earring... walk to town..

Every cruise something different..lots to do...

  10. I get antsy way too early. Considering all my cruises have been to warm weather , I have a closet with just Tommy Bahama ready to go ; some jeans ; flipflops, etc. I keep a ziplock bag with cruise " crap " nearby.

I pack the nite before !!!!
